I have to chime in on the biscuit debate. I think most of us agree that on an average day of the year, as good as baked rolls are, biscuits are even a little better. EXCEPT on Thanksgiving. The roll is the king, It won't dry out your mouth, it's perfect for the gravy without breaking apart in your plate, and for the late night light turkey sandwich it's the perfect size.

Cranberry sauce is the pick because everything else is so heavy and starchy, you need the acidic bite from the cranberry to cut through everything else. Im also a fan of steamed broccoli or sautéed spinach on the thanksgiving plate for the same reason

I don't get these comments saying "Gravy is a side but cranberry sauce isn't?" People don't eat bowls full of gravy. Cranberry sauce on the other hand, while people do spread it on the turkey, mashed potatoes, and other stuff, there are plenty of people, at least at my Thanksgiving dinner that eat that shit plain. They scoop it on their plate, and eat it with nothing else. That's why cranberry sauce is allowed.
