I was listening to this and the part about hearing the name and Soror Meral conferring 5=6 on you sparked something in my memory about my own HGA retirement about a year ago. So I went and checked my notes: the problem is that I heard two separate names during it, and saw a third emblazoned on the eastern door of my temple. The math on all three is . . . dubious. Can't claim adepthood because I'm more confused than ever! I'm not that worried about it, though, even if I am confused. As you go on to say, and I paraphrase, success or not, the Great Work continues.

Astral is essentially the Mental Plane. Using the power of the Human Imagination, you can perform the Ritual Translucidly, seeing yourself as a "Body of Light" and going through all the Visualizations and Orations. It's actually a lot harder than it seems and it requires a very Focused Intensified Meditation to get through the whole thing without your Mind Digressing into other thoughts.

@masonictraveler6558 Point II, Section A: "Let the Adeptus Minor be standing in this circle on the square of Tiphereth, armed with his Wand and Cup; but let him perform the Ritual throughout in his Body of Light." So, you can definitely perform this Ritual in the Physical. I have and I think it helps to Ritualize the whole Operation. But, as Dr. Shoemaker said, he was doing the Operation while still interacting with his family, but dedicating time out of his day to close his eyes and perform the Ritual in his Body of Light/Astrally. To me, this makes it extremely Practical to implement the Operation in your Regular Everyday Life. You don't NEED to be in a Temple, with you Magickal Vestments on, or anything. Although, doing something to Prepare, i.e. Yoga, Devotional Practices, reading the Holy Books, "wine and strange drugs". This is to just get into the zone; just sitting in a chair and doing Breathing Exercises can be very effective for this.

It breaks down each and every section on what to do and what to Visualize, and what you should be feeling. Such as this from Section B of Point II: "He is to travel astrally around the circle, making the appropriate pentagrams, sigils, and signs. His direction is widdershins. He thus makes three curves, each covering three-fourths of the circle. He should give the sign of the Enterer on passing the Kiblah, or Direction of Boleskine. This picks up the force naturally radiating from that point and projects it in the direction of the path of the Magician. The sigils are those given in the Equinox Vol. I, No. 7, Plate X outside the square; the signs those shewn in Vol. I, No. 2, Plate “The Signs of the Grades”. In these invocations he should expand his girth and his stature to the utmost, assuming the form and the consciousness of the elemental god of the quarter. After this, he begins to vibrate the “Barbarous Names” of the Ritual." I think this Ritual is one of 666's most detailed and specific of most of his Rituals.
