*Thatch Bed / Cottage - You can put 4 more beds in the cottage to house a total of 6. It lowers the housing score (for happiness) for each bed added but it can be boosted with other buildings being near to it. The menu for each building says if it adds or subtracts from the housing score. You have to stand inside the cottage to place the furniture like beds and firewood storage. Similar to how you build the storage bins in the warehouse. *Fire-Pit / BBQ - Putting a tribe member on cook duty will get them to gut the fish and cut the meat hunks when you add the tasks to his objective list. He will repeat cooking until the storage holds the number you set for him to cook. Also the cook has never burned the food LOL.

Not to mention, it's FAR more durable than a standard shelter. So probably when the game releases and you start getting attacked by things like Draugurs or worse, it'll just be the norm to be using cottages

You can add tasks in the workshop for all the tools they need, Just add one task for each required tool

to make armour you need to put the add on to your Workbench, this allows you to make linnen

Maybe you already found it later in the video, but for linen and clothing you need to add weaver addon to the workshop Also, eating onion and garlic will heal you for a short time

G'day Kage from Australia. I have played the demo twice through. The second time I had no issues with food because I realised you can manage tasks in the forager hut and set priorites on what to get. I set a priority on garlic and onions as they provide healing. Also employ a cook, make sure you set tasks at the BBQ else he will not do anything. Also set tasks at the craft station. You can build a loom onto the craft station to make clothes (again a task).

Your reaction to the house sleeping only two people was the exact same reaction I had. If I had known, I would have definitely have just built four or five single man huts.

@@ModeratelyAmused they were available before the update, just not many people even tried building cottages on their first attempts, I think it was my 2nd day of play that I built a cotage and a chieftans hut(that was a waste of effort and resources) in the demo

Not really a waste since the lightning buff duration is enhanced depending on which "house" you sleep in. And that buff is very useful

I think you can farm with the rake and seeds, maybe that would be a better food source than the gathering posts in the wilderness. Maybe Kage misse the farming or it was added in a patch after he recorded

warehouse can eventually be setup like the stockpiles in bellwright. you'll be able to make deliveries between warehouses. say you want your fish transported to your "main" base more inland. you could have two warehouses built. and have people running back and forth (preferably on roads that you've dug up)

immersion elements in the game are amazing. (cooking for your people, digging out grass, laying roads, building your buildings with all the necessary materials.) day 1 purchase for me too.

In the real world, linin is made from the fibers of the processed stems of the flax plant. I would assume you have to harvest some flax and weave it into cloth at a "weaving loom" (if the developers are trying to use real world primitive tech) I like the way the game works and the NPC interaction. It seems a bit less problematic than a few recent and similar games. My problem with any of these games is trying to find a reason to continue beyond the point where you have surviving hammered out, and are beginning to thrive. For me, simply trying to clear all the enemies and overpopulate the map, and building a huge base is just not intriguing enough for me to keep playing. I'll watch someone else overpopulate and build giant bases, but that's when I move on to the next game.

@kage848 are you going to purchase this and give us a long series? Love the mechanics and layout of it! Btw the storages seem to extend for the supplies that the workers can bring in more. Like the Jotun blood for example there isn’t a storage for that so imaging all the blood stones lying around…

Take a Giant mushroom, remove stalk and hollow out the centre of the stalk and the mushroom, then suff the mushroom with bacon ladons, minced onion hrebs of your choosing then bake at 200 degrees in the oven for 15-20 mins serve and enjoy. or alternatively 3 large mushrooms (e.g. portobello mushrooms) - 3 tbsp olive oil - 4 cups baby spinach - 1 garlic clove, chopped up - 3/5 cup mozzarella, shredded - 5/6 cup cheddar, shredded - 1/2 cup cream cheese - 2 tbsp bread crumbs - 1 egg mix well in a bowl then hollow out the muchrooms and stuff em with the mixture, and again bake for 15-20 mins in a HOT oven

the game looks great and all but i dont think i want to watch a series about a game i cannot play.. i mean if its only obtainable by a select few and the rest of us have to wait a freaking month to try it...nah.. it's not going to get any priority from me...nor is this playlist.
