Put the best groups of the 60’s in a blender and you get The Third Mind. We are blessed. I couldn’t enjoy a band more. Thanks KEXP as always. 🎸

Morning Dew such simple lyrics with a tension like a shimmering bead of water on a polished glass surface and an emotional delivery that hits like a brick to your heart. This is just exceptional KEXP, thanks.

We saw the Third Mind at The Kessler in Dallas a couple of months ago. The country fans who came to hear Dave Alvin play country were disappointed for a song or two but then they realized what incredible music the band was playing. Please keep touring and recording. Wearing out the vinyl we bought at the show! 21:28

Saw them at Mississippi Studios in Portland, OR during this tour. Totally mind-blowing. Their version of the Butterfield Blues Band's 'East-West' takes you out into the galaxy. Jesse Sykes has an amazing voice, ethereal.

I'm wondering what cymbals the stack of Michael Jerome is made of. This trashy sound is amazing.
@Hippiekinkster2 ай бұрын
I'm thinking he's more of a percussionist than a drummer, if you get the distinction. I'd like to see more drummers use traditional grip, though, like Mike Shrieve on "Soul Sacrifice" at Tanglewood with Santana. Slow it to half speed for his solo and watch his stick placement. That would be hard to do with matched grip.
