The Thorn Birds will always remain the best of all mini series. Rachel Ward, and Richard Chamberlain are both very accomplished actors. When in thought my heart still goes out to Meggie.She never could have Ralph by her side, only in stolen moments throughout her life. Ralph did love Meggie, but his ambition most of all. Perhaps he was also afraid of the shame that would follow him of he did. He never made a true choice for love.
