Wow...amazing to see this again. I was 2nd-row middle at a very young age. You can see my red hair once in a while under Jim millers arm haha. What an amazing thing to be blessed to be on stage for this contest and performance.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience. I was a brand new barbershopper, Detroit was my first International experience, and this performance confirmed for me that I wanted to sing in a barbershop chorus. I lost my voice for six weeks because of my response to this performance.

They KNEW they were going to win that year, and it was for the Rampart Street Parade that all hopes were placed. I was just a teenager, my Dad sang lead and maybe it was just me, but I could always hear Dad singing. It was like his voice was the "sound" of the lead parts. He died this year. This music will make the hair on your face stand up. 🙂
