Today, more than a billion pigs endure appalling conditions in factory farms worldwide. Their brief, tormented lives are rife with fear, pain, and anguish, often culminating in agonizing ends.
Pigs are among the five most intelligent animals on Earth, alongside chimpanzees, dolphins, and elephants. Research confirms their social, empathetic nature and their ability to feel pain, much like humans.
Yet, the plight of pigs in factory farms remains largely overlooked. Perhaps the enormity of the issue is too overwhelming, the sheer number of suffering animals too staggering for people to grasp?
Regrettably, many choose to turn a blind eye or are resistant to change their habits. The demand for cheap meat fosters a culture of ignorance, allowing the grim reality of factory farming to persist-the leading cause of animal cruelty and suffering globally. It inflicts mass suffering on highly intelligent creatures, compromises our health, and jeopardizes our planet.
If you believe pigs are spared from suffering, it's time to reconsider.
