Ya. I need to do more testing but based on what I know at the moment I feel like I might have found a bug.
@beauxguss63212 жыл бұрын
@@MasterHellish not a bug. Gave a detailed explanation on another reply.
@stormtrooper0002 жыл бұрын
Those trains crashed because you removed the path signal before the station, so it was a free-for-all for those trains.
@MasterHellish2 жыл бұрын
You don't need a path signal at the end of a platform for a terminus station. I believe this to be a bug with skipping orders.
@stormtrooper0002 жыл бұрын
@@MasterHellish Unlike depots, stations do not have any built-in signal. When using path signals, you don't need a signal at the end of each platform for terminus station because the path signal at the station entrance controls all the traffic. In this design, both platforms in the station are the same "block". When there was no longer an entrance path signal, you had both trains in the same block with no pathfinding AI, hence the crash. It is same reason why when you're using block signals, you are still required to put exit signals for terminus stations.
@beauxguss63212 жыл бұрын
@@MasterHellish put simply. There is no implicit signal in a terminus. It works without signals because the trains are pathing to the dead end. With no signals at the entrance when you skipped the order, the train turned around and headed for the next signal... which just so happened to be through another train.

If you want more pulling power for your trains you should look at the tractive effort rather than the horsepower as tractive effort is literally how much the train can pull (total amount of traction a vehicle exerts on a surface)

Ya, that is a good point

If that opener was a new engine, use new engines on test lines - just one route - until the reliability improves, if all its other stats make it an upgrade on the engines you have at the moment. It makes sense to also change the service interval on that engine from the default to something much lower, like 50 days, to keep that reliability figure at the top end of its max, when it's so low. The comparison window is in the engine upgrade screen. PS. $48500
@MasterHellish2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rusty. From my testing the vehicle reliability does not change whether you use it or not. So very often I don't bother. Ahh yes... the upgrade screen!
@RustyWalker2 жыл бұрын
@@MasterHellish What about if you take it when it pops up? Does that start the counter? Or does the first run start the counter? After it's available to everyone, its reliability gradually goes up with time to a max, but I'm not sure about before. It's also possible it doesn't start the counter at all until after it's available to everyone regardless.
@MasterHellish2 жыл бұрын
@@RustyWalker in my testing I took the early access. And whether I ran the train or not the reliability was the same once it started going up.

I downloaded my version of OpenTTD from Steam. I played TT years ago off CD and loved it. Now 20+ years on i got an old gaming laptop, powerful one. Can I still get access to all these settings and mods. I don’t remember being any of these settings years ago. Any advise much appreciated.

The steam version is the same as the OpenTTD website. It's still getting lots of updates even after all these years. I have spotlight videos on my channel about all the recent updates

Did you have an OTTD tutorial video of how to share a savefile to someone else? Couldn't find one. It is very interesting map, you will be able to build ALOT when paused. I'm at 1955. I will not share to much of what's happening in my playthrough, I want it to be a surprise. :)
@MasterHellish2 жыл бұрын
If you want to share a save file just go to the OpenTTD folder (inside your documents folder by default on windows) and get it out of your saves. Glad you like the map

Hi. I started to play this game and I found out that City bulder cript isn't in the game. I download it from your website, so I honestly don't know where is problem. Hellish City refuse to grown from some reason, even if I have buses in it and deliver passengers with trains.
@MasterHellish2 жыл бұрын
Even though the settings for the game script are in the save file the script its's is not. As per the instructions on my website, you need to make sure you download the script before playing the game save. OpenTTD does not prompt you for the missing script unlike GRFs, not sure if that is a bug in OpnTTD.
