Sadly, people are very rude to those trying to speak English. Even people who speak it well but have an accent are giving them a hard time. It makes learning the language a lot harder. Also, this is Texas. You can function quite well there in Spanish.

It's Judge Fleischer's courtroom, so it's a fashion show if he wants it to be. No law against it. He has reprimanded defendants who show up wearing inappropriate clothing such as shorts. So he's a dandy, so what!

He's not trying to ruin people's lives. He's giving them stern warnings because he's not putting them in jail yet. He's making conditions of their activities prior to their next court dates. And he lets people have it when they violate them. Not to mention he JUST said if he puts them in jail, immigration officers will make the rest of their lives a living hell and make this case take infinitely longer to finish.

They're out on bond with upcoming cases for these DWI's, mate. They aren't "free to go" in the way you're thinking, but they do need time to find a lawyer. This is how the american justice system works; Judge Fleischer is not the jury and the executioner, only the judge.

Why? The same laws were in place when Trump was in power last time. And he blocked the immigration bill that would have increased deportations significantly, decreased the time required for immigration hearings, etc. He said he’d build a wall last time, and managed a whopping 52 new miles of wall.
