Thank you, Roland, for the great tutorial! I am a recently retired 66-year-old man and I am just picking up brushes for the first time to attempt to be a watercolor painter. I have always loved the feel and mood of watercolors and have been drawn towards this method of painting for many years. I love your method of teaching because you make it very easy to understand. I know that it will not be so easy to actually put it all to practice, but I look forward to learning more and more. Last year, my son and I took a motorcycle trip from Colorado to Bryce Canyon. My desire is to paint a landscape with my son and I riding through Bryce Canyon on our motorcycles and give it to him for his birthday on May 1st. I was so pleased to find your tutorials on Zion, Bryce, Arches, etc. on the KZbin channel! With your instruction, I have started my project with a drawing and identifying the different values. I really enjoy your tutorials, Roland. I met you about 8 years ago in the St. George area. I am a pastel artist but came across your work here and now I'm thinking about taking up watercolor. I love your technique. Thank you so much for these videos. I was wondering if you could tell me what brand watercolor you use as well as the type/brand of watercolor paper. Thank you.
