I absolutely love seeing millennials raising kids. A lot of us grew up with old school parents that didn’t know what mental health was or didn’t even know how to feel emotions. Wondering how confident and bad ass Arrow will be as an adult ❤ I think you’re doing a great job :)

These are great! Thank you for putting this list together. My son turned 3 in October and it's been... interesting. We skiped the "terrible twos" but the "threenager" is here and he's no joke. One thing I've found really helps when he's refusing to do something (and this could be an alternative to your 10th tip if that isn't working for someone) is to challenge him on how quickly he can do it vs. me. My boy is very competitive and loves to be fast, and so if I say "I think I can do X faster than you" (put my jacket on, run up the stairs to the bathroom, etc.) he drops the "NO" and immediatly goes into proving me wrong.

Thank you so much for these tips!! Our twins just turned 3 and our little girl is much more threenager than her twin brother, but they LOVE showing what they can do all by themselves so these tips will work WONDERS!!! 😍😍😍 Our daughter also likes to say “I have an idea…” so we will now present things to her in the same way and she will tell us “THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!!” 😏😏😏 Gives her the power to approve an idea that mommy and daddy present to her!

Take a picture of it works when the child doesn’t want to clean their creations too! 😃 I also utilize “clean it up before a new activity”. And if they want the old activity outI let them, but tell them that if they want to bring out another toy they’ll have to clean up the older toy mess. This eliminates the overwhelming mess for them as well as allows them to have to do a task but they can choose when!

Love these.. how do you all deal with “fibbing”? For example, I know she didn’t wash her hands after she went to the bathroom but she says she did.. or her saying her quiet time timer went off already and that’s why she is in the kitchen but it didn’t… just small fibs but I can’t seem to escape the fibs and they irk me so!!

This is such a helpful video, my little one is 2.5 so getting some insight as to how 3 year olds act is always nice lol. The alarm for bedtime has been game changer, she started refusing night time and I was going bonkers. I do have a question for anyone, my daughter is now scared of “monsters and spiders in her room” so she wants me to lay in her crib with her in order to fall asleep. Any tips on breaking that cycle? I am exhausted, it’s now been a whole month of this. She will cry and not sleep if I don’t. Help!

Ill have a threenager in one month and one day...counting down. I save my one dollar bills and give them to my daughter in her own wallet. She can spend roughly 10 bucks once or twice a month. She gets to hand her cash to cashier. We count, learm social skills, and the concept of finances.
