Smell, I'm liking you more and more. I'm watching your videos out of order. Did you know that the person in the forest when you make the typo is me? I think it's from the Money magazine interview. Anyway, I don't find this "Easter egg" (only to me is it an Easter egg!) creepy... I find it fascinating! I'm in your head! Your videos are profound... now Michael H has some competition!

cynthia meachum Call me Matt. Please lol. Yes, I knew it was you in that pic. I couldn’t resist using that one since it has so much good space for graphics, and you trudging off on your way to the tc. MEH/FFLC is in a league of his own. The fact that YOU mentioned Michael and me in the same sentence is a huge compliment.

This and your next video about the very first section(s) of TTOTC are amazingly insightful, especially for those like me who are just not very well-read and have little to no working knowledge, much less proper understanding, of the mechanics of literature. I really appreciate you sharing these great videos!

Mike, you may not be "Well read" but I've always found you to be highly intelligent. Sorry to hear about your wife passing away. Have a good day.

That's very kind of you. When I hear myself, I only hear the flaws. I'm not a virgo ;)

Hi STS, did you make the connection from the poem "clues" to the stories in TTOTC? For example, Begin it where warm waters halt can be found in multiple stories, such as Forrest's shower, Olga's bathtub, Madison River, South Pacific ocean, scalding water, etc. Every line in the poem can be correlated back to the stories in my opinion. Also, are you a teacher of literature? Your mannerisms remind me of one of my favs in school.

Hello again, Sandra. I struggle with clue/hint correlation. How do you think the hints get a person closer to places on a map? I try to remember that FF said the poem is all we need. I’m not a poem purist; but I’m a poem centrist ;) Thank you for your nice comment. I’ve done a lot of teaching over the years. My favorite stint was a summer in China. And I studied linguistics and interpretative science. But if I could go back in time, I’d go full-on literature/writing.

Hi Sunshine, in my way of solving the poem to a specific spot on the map, I had to understand the reason why the poem clues sent me back to TTOTC. I may be revealing more than I should but this is my theory. Nothing can be random about the solution from the first step. As I have gone alone in there is my first step back to the memoir as we alone have our memories. The poem becomes a mirror of the book. Doing this gave me one piece of string to tie to another and so on. Once you tie the first piece to the second it does get easier. I have not seen this method talked about, but I have been a very private person until lately. I check in on different forums and vlogs to see if anyone thinks the same as I do. Forrest is correct about keeping secrets. It is hard to do even for one. I don't have the chest like everyone else and cannot go botg any time soon. Hope this helps somehow. This is all I can say in a public forum for now.

@@sandrarannells5689 Your remarks remind me of this approach (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJrFh2SDptmXask). I don't come at it this way, but we're all feeling around in the dark, aren't we?

Hi again Mr. Sunshine, I just found time to reply. Thanks for the link but I don't see my approach as the same. I constantly wonder if anyone else has found a solution to the Chase that gives them a named specific place on the map using just the poem and TTOTC. In this fennatical treasure hunt, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is most likely a buffalo, lol. What do you think of all the references to authors and poets in TTOTC, such as Kismet, Omar Khayyam's Moving Finger, and Evetts Haley just to start? Do you think they play a part in the poem solution? Perhaps an idea for a future video.
