Even though my favorite Tick will always be Patrick Warburton, I respect his decision to not play the Tick in the new miniseries. Even though he's not playing the new Tick, he's still a producer of the show, so it's nice that he's still involved in the character in some form.

Patrick Warburton IS the Tick. I loved this show with the original cast. Gutted when it got canned so quickly. It was so offbeat and hysterically funny, mainly thanks to the great script, and Warburton and Burke's (Arthur) hilarious dynamic. Shout out also to Liberty and Batmanuel : played to perfection too. I say bring them back. Pronto.

Patrick Warburton is a producer on the new show, and he was instrumental in getting the new show made in the first place. Warburton helped pick the new guy, but Warburton likely decided that he wasn't going to play the Tick this time, either -- since he's a producer, he's one of the decision makers who can make that call (rather than exec producer, which is more honorific and fundraising).
