This reminds me of a cut scene I would see in a late 90s early 2000s PC or maybe Playstation 2 game, and I fricken love it. I can't explain how you nailed that look, but I don't see it often at all anymore and there's a charm to it I like and can point it out when I see it, so absolute fantastic job.

I came down to type the exact same thing, although I'm feeling it a little closer to Xbox or GC

I just think if these graphics got polished it be a telltale game kinda Sam and Max on Wii or Ps3, Like Sam & Max. Tho Tick could work as a point n click with light combat n puzzle segments for 90s pc games
@PantherCat6414 күн бұрын
@@carloscardona6587 I'm kinda thinking now of Telltale adventure game art style, mixed with similar gameplay to Brock the Investigator. There is a combat system, You could solve it like a puzzle game, even getting around combat encounters, but if you're stuck you have the ability to break things until something finally works. Honestly that kinda game would fit the Tick's personality for sure.

the interview seems like promo for a video game like between their questions we see gameplay for some puzzle based 3d platformer. And ofcourse the intro would be when you start the game before getting to the title screen

Fantasic! I think the fun part, is that the animation would actually be high end for the era The Tick aired. Like ReBoot and BeastWars.

Thanks for leading me here. Adding this to the opening...it's even more incredible, than I have previously said! It's...I may say even better than orignal. If only the whole series could be remade this way... There is also a very disappointing thing - the number of views. I watched this series as a kid, and understood it is a parody, and I loved the humor of this series. I loved X-Men (number 2), Spiderman (number 3), but The Tick was a number 1! And one of the few I can fully enjoy as an adult. I can't believe It's popularity is so low.... Again...thanks for your wonderful work!

Very impressive work, especially the details on the background characters. Extra points for the judges. A bit of trivia: this backstory was made just for the cartoon. In the original comic book, Tick is an escapee from an asylum.

Clearly a passion project. Love it. I remember when the Tick first came out. It was hilarious. My siblings and I couldn’t believe it because it was funny and stupid in such a different way at the time, at least to us. And all the nerd/comic culture references made it feel like it was just for us.

Might I recommend Blender. It's more powerful than Maya (not to mention lightweight), does more in one package, free and open source. It's a whole software suite, in one program. Hope this helps.
@MirekFe Жыл бұрын
I forgot to add that the renders are faster.
@BradGroatman Жыл бұрын
Blender's a great program but I hate the workflow - it feels so clunky to me without marking menus and the in-window functionality of Maya (it's also because I'm so used to Maya that I'm too stubborn to change :) The biggest hurdle right now is that it's still lagging behind Maya in rigging tools - last I checked it still doesn't have set-driven keys or grouping (collections are different in that they aren't transformable entities the way Maya groups are, which makes rigging so much easier), which is a deal breaker - and I'm really a rigger primarily so it's hard to justify making that leap. I do keep downloading the newest versions of Blender though!
