I remember the first night me and my mate discovered the Metro late 1989. The place was half full smoke everywhere and plenty of space to dance.808 state "In Your Face" was banging out... What a place!! Didn't take long before the crowds grew and buses started appearing from all over Scotland and the occasional one from the north of England. I was there this night up in the Greenock corner top right above Joe Deacon and the rest of the Dj's Snoopy,Tom Wilson and many more grased that box. The first night Ultrasonic played me and my mates were surprised to see a familiar face walk on stage, Julie Lepic a good friend that travelled down a few times in our cars..What brilliant nights were had in that place for me. It all wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Eddie Fox from Largs the owner. He used to blow us off in his red convertible Merc usually just between Seamill and Ardrossan lmao... I finally retired myself in 1995 due to top many come-downs that lasted till Tuesday. The speed wasn't good for my choppers either,but those memories will stay with me for the rest of my life.,.I was 18-23 then an now am 52 years young lol..I heard they re-opened The Metro again a year or two ago... Let's hope this generation gets a chance to experience what we did back in the 90s... "Come on Metro Posse", "Make Some Fuckin Noise"!!

@@Bobscolad369 mid 90's metro saturday nights are still unmatched to this day, seen the likes of ultrasonic, qfx, q-tex, ultimate buzz and so many more, ttf was a major highlight for me, the place did re-open quite recently and had some fairly decent reviews so far, will never be a patch on its glory days tho 🔥😎💯

I was there on this night with the band I was roadie with the Rythmic State & we were riding a crest of a wave at this point & signed to M8. So we were invited to this night & as I watched this performance I was blown away with the whole professionalism from the TTF performance this night. I wasn’t a fan before this but they won me over watching this brilliant live performance from the whole band. Kudos to the TTF & the Metro crew who made the atmosphere absolutely perfect for remembering a moment like this. Awesome. 🙌🕊️🙌

Late 80's early 90's the best time for underground raves, before it moved into the clubs. Still a good time but being a 13vyr old kid these times will never leave m. Also the narcotics were far superior. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫👩‍❤️‍👨

Am Fae gibshill east end of Greenock me and ma pal ran a bus every Saturday from 95 to it stopped 8pound in what a club qfx fav band but best nite was dye witness and a was sober the place was rockin brilliant memories av seen me and na m8s in some if the videos abd ultra sonic were anazing also , great memories
