Because like a lot of mutations, just as in real life, they aren’t a good thing usually. Goku and Vegetta are false Sayins that had to push themselves to the brink just to achieve their power. But again, as in real life, you can train all you want but some people are just gifted (or mutated) to be good at something, like sports. Freeza is another example. Goku had to scratch and claw his way to beat him and he still didn’t die really. So him surviving against Broly isn’t unimaginable, especially Wonderwoman1738 she fought a good of destruction in training.
