This is the first van build that I have seen that has the quality (well, actually surpasses) of any major manufacturer but at the same time actually looks like a home on wheels. That is something that any of the major manufacturers fail to capture and of all the builds I have watched and followed, despite being fantastic, they haven't captured being a home somehow. You have. I am thoroughly enjoying your adventures in it and the winter vanlife expedition has only just started which means that there is tons more to enjoy still! Top tip: don't throw away the headlight deflectors when you get back to the UK. Put them carefully back in the pack and next time use some 3M or Tessa d/s tape (the red stuff is good) to re-attach them. Worked for us in France this year 👍.

Another interesting episode 👍. You probably already know thus, but as a tip to keep your camera from fogging-up, when going from the inside warmth out to the cold, is to place your camera, if it fits, in a 1 gallon zip-lok bag before taking it outside. Wait a bit once out in the cold, and let it acclimate. Condensation should form on the exterior of the zip-lok bag. Put it back in the zip-lok when going from the cold back into the warmth, and let it acclimate again.

Good luck and Merry Christmas from the Aussie in Luleå, Arctic Sweden ..... When you get further North and the roads and highways are JUST ice and darkness NEVER forget and let guard down esp. In towns ... a round about can be an absolute uncontrollable 10seconds and you slide off into the ditch mistake and always remember reindeer are dumber than sheep and where there is 1 there is always more. Enjoy the -25°C and worse up here and I'll keep following you North as I head South to Germany to build out the Landie 110 camper build! Wish us both luck on our adventures and a grand 2024! I was in Denmark at this time 25 years ago and it was -30 at night. It was so cold that if I had to pee outside, I had to walk backwards and then snap it off when finished. Someone lent me a bicycle in Copenhagen and told me, 'when riding on solid ice, stop at the junction, lift the bike up and point it in the direction you want to travel and carry on'. I found out what happens when you try and turn on the corner. You turn the handlebars, but then carry on in the original direction. It can be a little disconcerting, lol. There was shed loads of snow too, but like I said, this was over 25 years ago. It could be sub tropical now, lol............

I’ve got a scar on my knee. As a kid we were firing wooden arrows in the air, one came straight back down soI ran away,bloody thing followed me and stuck in my knee. My mum pulled it out, poured Dettol on followed by a plaster the back out to play. Wouldn’t do that now !

I used to Live in Germany and when you brought the Map up I could see the two towns I was based at and one where I was created. It was the only Second World War thing I could get a laugh from the Germans. As I am a Doodle Bug, made in Germany and Dropped in Britain. I loved my Time in Germany. I as an old fart now wish I explored it more when I was based there. I really enjoyed the night life, as I often got mistaken for a German, sadly my lake of ability to learn other languages soon showed me up to be a Sqaddie. I did used it to my advantage as some Clubs and Pubs would lets us Squaddies in. Yet I could get in no problem. Having a German Girlfriend really helped, as I didn't have to say much to get past the bouncers and the bar staff didn't care as long as I behaved myself. My Oldest Daughter likes the idea of going to Germany to see where her Dad had been. I loved the Christmas Fairs even though I am like Jon on that front. Wasn't keen on the Mulled Wine or Glühwein, like their Pils and Beers. The atmosphere of them was brilliant and the ones you get over here are nothing compared to the real deal. I have never really had the travel bug since leaving the Army and my Passport running out, but your video has made me think twice about travelling back over to the Continent. Which has been 25 years now since I left Germany. Looking forward to your next adventure in the next installments. I has been a tough week as I have been waking up since Tuesdays thinking it was Saturday and looking forward to seeing your video and then finding it was Wednesday, Thursday and then Friday. relief today as It was finally Saturday.

I have a complaint to make. All of my life I have refused to wear Crocs. I was bought a pair by my wife for Christmas and was told - "Jon wears them and you like him so just buy a pair of socks and get on with it" Cheers mate !! 😂

Flemish and Dutch are like English an American English. We understand each other perfectly, but are pronouncing some words differently. Some words are unique or have a different meaning, but those are limited. Happy Christmas!!
