Let me tell you a tale. Back when the Kozuki Oden arc was coming out, I wasn’t the biggest anime fan truly. The most I watched was the Pokémon series , mainly X and Y. I’ve seen some dragon ball and whatnot, but that was it. I had not a care for anime in the world. But then my friend showed me the clip where Whitebeard gets stabbed over and over again whilst being shot the fuck up. I was shocked. This man had to be dead right? Especially after that bazooka shot to the face. But then I saw something extraordinary, with that man Whitebeard rising from the ashes like the undertaker, screaming “I’M WHITEBEARD.” It was an awakening, the door to the absolute masterpiece of Shonen anime in general. There was just something about the sheer power of this old head somehow surviving being shanked, stabbed, his body full with magma, and then blown the fuck up. And you can picture my shock when my friend told me bro was sick! From there, anime to me is the new norm of TV shows to enjoy. And I owe it all to the greatest of all time, Whitebeard. Sorry for the long post here’s a potato 🥔
