I root for Russel to be one of those people, in my heart he is. I was fresh from the boat came to study in Australia from Indonesia. And I was clueless on how multiculturalism in the west works. His stand up gave me such a good insider overview of what's happening, how people think and feel about it, and how to approach it in a way that wouldn't be troublesome for me. So much was happening in that show, the event itself presented the audience's reaction, then the fact that it was one of the highlight of the internet created a new standard for everybody. Most of the fresh from the boat people were helping themselves watching that stand-up. He is a hero Russel Peters, I should be able to say more but I'm sure its easy to find other people's point of views that is also helped by the stand-up. Be a Man!

There is no movie that hits on so many levels, social commentary, world views WITHIN the Black community, rich vs poor, etc. that was made for BP but yet everybody gets it. @@karlsylvain I'm not a huge Russell Peters fan, and I haven't actually listened to/watched much of his material, but I know that he is very popular these days and I recall hearing that he was one of, if not, the, highest-paid comics in the world; so he's obviously a big-time standup comedy star. With that said, having watched this clip, I would say that he is just a legitimately humble guy, who stays grounded and doesn't like celebrating his celebrity. And that actually makes me really like him, because I like humble, relatable people. Based on this clip, I'd say that Russell Peters is a genuinely nice, down to earth person who is grateful for his fame, wealth and popularity, but who doesn't like bragging or congratulating his self. Daddy Day Care. Clean. Hilarious. Turned my kids on to Eddie. They're all of age now and last Thanksgiving I showed them Raw. They had no idea... halfway through it they were all crying from laughing so hard.

That was Eddie's 1st bomb but right before he did DELIRIOUS and BHC and he did a great monologue on SNL back in '84 and he said he knew the movie was garbage and he did it for the money. I actually went to see it years ago and it actually starred Dudley Moore who's career was dying down and Eddie was the best thing about that movie.

I went to a party at Eddies house once. Got invited by accident but I went anyway. Didn’t get to meet him but had a great time hanging with his brother and a bunch of retired pro athletes that lived in the same neighborhood.
