Does anybody know why the movie "Life" get's so little attention? Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. That movie has always been a diamond to me. Such a treasure.

As a black guy that movie always angered me because those guys literally went away for life. As funny as the humor was, the premise just always upset me. It's painful. And I know part of that was the point.

There is no movie that hits on so many levels, social commentary, world views WITHIN the Black community, rich vs poor, etc. that was made for BP but yet everybody gets it. This should be the case for Hollywood Shuffle and I'm Gonna Get You Sucka but instead they're cult classics with BP and non-Black ppl won't get it

I root for Russel to be one of those people, in my heart he is. I was fresh from the boat came to study in Australia from Indonesia. And I was clueless on how multiculturalism in the west works. His stand up gave me such a good insider overview of what's happening, how people think and feel about it, and how to approach it in a way that wouldn't be troublesome for me. So much was happening in that show, the event itself presented the audience's reaction, then the fact that it was one of the highlight of the internet created a new standard for everybody. Most of the fresh from the boat people were helping themselves watching that stand-up. He is a hero Russel Peters, I should be able to say more but I'm sure its easy to find other people's point of views that is also helped by the stand-up. Be a Man!

My best friend in college loved "Boomerang", he practically dragged me to the theater after seeing it by himself to watch it again. The running gag about Eddie finding some flaw in the girls he went to bed with had us bent over our seats in laughter, especially the one with the weird looking foot. But I just remember the film as the first time I ever saw Halle Berry in a movie.

It's important to note that the size of your house doesn't matter. Greater pleasure in life comes from exercising our intellectual faculties. What a man is is far more important than what he has or how he is regarded by people for the constituent of our consciousness determines our happiness. And the rich man who doesn't take part in activities of intellectual nature and spends his time chasing fleeting sensual pleasures and pleasure of the senses is rather dull indeed and should never be envied for he isn't using his capabilities for the betterment of humanity.

@@karlsylvain I'm not a huge Russell Peters fan, and I haven't actually listened to/watched much of his material, but I know that he is very popular these days and I recall hearing that he was one of, if not, the, highest-paid comics in the world; so he's obviously a big-time standup comedy star. With that said, having watched this clip, I would say that he is just a legitimately humble guy, who stays grounded and doesn't like celebrating his celebrity. And that actually makes me really like him, because I like humble, relatable people. Based on this clip, I'd say that Russell Peters is a genuinely nice, down to earth person who is grateful for his fame, wealth and popularity, but who doesn't like bragging or congratulating his self. I wish that more famous/wealth/powerful people were like Russell Peters.
