The lesson I constantly teach my kids and anyone else who will listen is LOCK your car doors as soon as you enter. I don’t know how many times this would have saved people from car jacking, kidnapping or physical violence. It’s easy. Lock your doors, put key in ignition and then your seatbelt. This way you can drive away at the first sign of trouble and stay safe. Even if someone tried to break your window, you still would have time to drive away because of the way they make windows these days. Please lock your doors immediately!!! Don’t wait for the auto lock feature that happens only after you have put it in drive and gone a certain distance.

Please dont sit in the oarking lot in your unlocked car and txt etc. Especially when you know a dangerous person is around. There are SO many stories about this exact situation happening. Get in your car, lock the doors and drive away.

I’ve had over 10 piercings throughout my life and I highly recommend reaching where you get pierced. 1) never get a gun piercing it causes cartilage trauma 2) always go to a proper tattoo shop that has a certified piercer 3) always see the artist work 4) make sure the environment is clean 5) walk away when you have to! It’s okay to want a piercing but it’s better to walk away from a store that is not up to par or clean And get a quality piercing somewhere else
@AshesAshes44 Жыл бұрын
And make sure the piercer matches the certificate! After twenty piercings, the only one that went poorly was someone using a 'borrowed' certificate. The piercing was crooked, and they knew it, but chose to say nothing. Today, I could have checked online to educate myself and then avoided the entire situation. Back then, you had to be your own Google and then cross your fingers.

doesn't matter, if you are allergic to metals and dont know it, a simple earring or nose ring can cause amputation paralysis/ death. I broke my leg thought I had just sprained it, so I worked on it for a week, doctor said I needed a steel splint put in, i let him know i was allergic to all but titanium, so i was getting out of the truck and i managed to rip the screws from the bone my case was given to another doctor, i didnt know they didnt communicate with each other, so second doctor put surgical steal in my leg unknown to my infection set in and i had to have another surgery to remove everything including infection that went to the bone, because of my absence i lost my job and thanks to bidens terrorist immigrants being promised everything I'm still looking! a terrorist will work for gas money they have no need of paying bills as we do! and thanks to bidens policy a would-be employer has to higher them before us,

When my niece was a young teenager, she wanted her lip pierced on both sides. She did one herself so I took her into a professional to get it done because I knew if I didn’t she would do it herself again. I tried to talk her out of it, but she ended up talking them out a few weeks later.

Number two is the best example of ignorance. To ignore your own health for an unnecessary fear almost caused her to die. Go to the hospital, sooner than later when you know something is wrong.

I've had a bunch of piercings... my tongue ring was the easiest & quickest healing with no problems. But my ear piercings & nose & belly button all got infected & and led to skin cartridge growth. The only one I've kept is my tongue. Be aware that your body might reject any piercings.

DO NOT PUT MAGNETS IN YOUR MOUTH!! Magnets do not cease their attraction regardless of the tissue in between; intestines included! Claire’s . . . It’s become a meme unto itself. I went to Claire’s in 1977-78 for my first piercing. “Men,” I was just technically an adult, rarely got their ears pierced back then. I was the first male I knew who had an ear pierced. The second was a cook in a restaurant I worked in. The third was a male nurse where I next worked - still work 44 years later. Claire’s really wasn’t keen on piercing my ear. Of course they used one of their spring-loaded “guns,” and I’ve been so happy to see the education and prevalence of sterile needles these last few decades! Stupidly…..stupidly, I went back to Claire’s a few more times - had both earlobes pierced at an early age (Which males really didn’t do back in those days!!), and for some reason decided to see if Claire’s would piece the upper cartilage of my ear - of course with their “gun” - which they’d never tried and which I’d actually never heard of… It took TWO loud snaps of their spring-loaded device to get through the ear cartilage. It didn’t heal even a year later, always hurt some, and left a tiny lump of cartilage on the back side after I removed it. It’s 2023, and I still have my first two piercing (yes, from Claire’s…) all these decades later. I’ve attended professional piercings at the request of friends as “moral support” when they were receiving professional piercings of labia, clitoral hood, nipples, penile frenulum, and “the guiche.” All of that went better than each of my very minor ear piercings! It pays to go to a trained professional with the tools, experience and skills to perform the procedures!! Just skip the “piercing guns”!! Take care of your body and body parts. Do what you want, but do it with forethought and dedication!! The same advice goes for tattoo work, of which I am, humbly, very, very versed in. Seek sanitary shops, sterile conditions, artists whom you are comfortable with and trust completely, and make certain to see their work before booking any appointment. Any decent tattoo artist or piercer will treat you as a valued client instead of as an income source only. You get what you pay for, and cheap work may not be worth wearing… And remember, DON’T PUT MAGNETS IN YOUR MOUTH!!

I am over here counting my lucky stars. I have pierced myself so many times. I remember one time I had pierced my eyebrow in art class with a safety pin in 9th grade. I woke up the next morning not being able to see. My eye was completely swollen shut.

Staph is one of the most common skin infection we encounter in medical practice. I can’t believe it somehow got missed. Makes me wonder who supposedly did the initial exam, and if they were, in fact, medically trained - and if they were what sort of training did they get…janitorial, with a specialty in medical wards…

I've pierced my ears by myself several times, with no complications. I have high pain tolerance so I can take it slow and be careful, and always make sure everything is sterilized. Had my tongue pierced by a professional and it healed great, unfortunately had to have surgery in my throat a short time after so it grew shut.

Layane Dias like you I'm allergic to all but titanium i broke my leg in 2022 and i let the doctor know i had a fall and it ripped the screws from my bone, no big deal but two doctors in the same office failed to communicate, the second doctor fixed the leg but used staples and reg screws, withing a week my leg was turning and swelling, the doctor realized the lack of communication went back into my leg cut out the infected tissue down to the bone and used what was needed, now unlike most people i dont file lawsuits, when I feel I'm also at fault because I didnt follow up with the doctor before he cut into me, I feel for you I do I have a lot of trouble trusting doctors and hospitals i have had many friends go in for something routine and leave in a hearse, piercings they dont do much for anyone, in ancient times an earing meant you were a slave and depending on where it was signified the owner

I've got a few piercings. My tongue, my nose, my ears, my eyebrow, and my upper lip. Never had an infection, never had any trouble healing (except for my nose it took three years to heal fully lol), and never had any problems with inferior products. If you take care of them correctly you shouldn't have a problem. The only thing you have to worry about is allergic reaction.

Just after I got my first piercing when I was 13 I woke up one day to see my ear had eaten the head of the earring so I went to the doctor and they tried prying my ear piercing open but after several attempts they just decided that they had to cut it out, I didn't get put off from trying to get them pierced though lol I tried another 4 times over my life lol (my piercings won't heal for some reason so every try failed lol I even kept one try in for a year and they still bled lol)

Sometimes it's a special reaction between your skin and the metal used. My elder sister had to use plastic earrings till she was a teenager because her piercings wouldn't heal and kept sprouting rashes. Some people put threads with knots in for about a week and have to keep running them back and forth intermittently. Where I'm from females are pierced at birth right at the hospital just like males are circumsized.
