Compy is by far the most dangerous apex predator. I will often lie in wait watching other players fight, and ambush whoever tries to lay down and rest. Hands down 90% of the time that I play PoT you will see me as a compy.

Just so you know, the reason some creatures like the pycno where doing damage to you when you latched on was because they do reflective damage whenever they are hit. Pycno, cerato, kent, metri, amarga, and styraco, all have reflective abilities or subspecies that can just do normal damage as well as bleed or poison.

One of the most accurate things I’ve heard about this game comes from the KZbinr “Pesky”. He said that the smaller the dinos in Path of Titans are, the more of an apex they become lol. The little guys in Path of Titans are a bigger threat than the actual apexes

I don't know if anyone else has said it but dimetrodon has crazy reflective damage, hence why almost died as soon as you started biting the 2nd one. As for the reason you received no reflect from the 1st dimetrodon is because it was sleeping.

Compsongnathus a 3 foot long carnivore from ancient europe somewhere in the jurassic period it mainly ate the Bavariasaurus it may have hunted in packs MAY its tail helped to balance and it could climb trees it was one of the smallest carnivores around 20-30 lbs i think it was one of the smallest therapods i think (edit:Compsongnathus was around 12-1lbs i for some reason put it the same size as velociraptor mongoliensis)

Not even close, compsognathus weighed about 1-7lbs and was at most 4ft long though it averaged 2-3ft. It hunted mainly insects and small vertebrates, and preserved lizards such as bavariasaurus have been preserved in their stomach.

I think the main reason you weren't getting hits on the alio was because you were turning your head and biting. You have to be looking at the dino when your pounced and trying to bite.

I think you are getting hurt when you pounce on the dime because they have some sort of scales or passive ability that hurts you. The pyc hurt you because of ‘tough scutes’ I believe although it not sure. The same is for cerato, spiky amarga, and a few others I can’t name
