On the 6th march 1922 Workers were waking up to start work at Knowles workshop in groveland road Tipton the day would start like any other the staff would start off by dismantling world war 1 Cartridges a job that was just a normal days work for them however that day would seem anything but normal when the amunision cartridges they were dismantling exploded killing nineteen of the young girls working there it's a disaster that the town of Tipton has never forgotten
