My Friend, This is the best intro to Vintage big trucks I've ever seen. Your tire description is really excellent. And it doesn't hurt that you are standing next to a Scout. Thanks from Washington!

I remember seeing a photo in a magazine with bigfoot on 66s and bearfoot pulling up with those 73s!!! Bob Chandler was not happy lol.

Surprised no one ever used 76x50x32’s. Or were those not really around back then in the car crushing days. See them sometimes on big combines these days.

Very nice! I love large flotation tires and how they were used on lifted trucks/monster trucks.

Here's something I really wanna know about. Why did monster trucks stop using 5 ton axles and went to a planetary axels?
@Utubin3 жыл бұрын
Because they kept breaking at the wheel knuckles.

I love stuff like this. I’m starting on a 93 ranger into a stage 2 style truck but on 48s

Any good resources on help with building an old school style monster? I'm in Va. and want to run 48's on Rockwells with leaf springs under a late 70's G.M. Fullsize pick up. Not sure about which transfer case etc. I'd rather get a "blueprint" on building it since all this stuff has already been learned and figured out by plenty of people before me. I've wanted one since I was a kid in the early 80's seeing these real monsters the first time around!!!

I'd run a 205 transfer case, gear driven and pretty stout
