The Titan Xenomorph From Aliens: Dark Descent Explained

It reminds me of the Snake Alien toy I had as a kid. It was massive in comparison to all of the other aliens and humans.

My theory is that, as it is far older, comes from a much larger and clearly very intelligent species, it was able to exert more power over the hive than the queens. See because I don't think Aliens are pure pheromones, I think its some level of telepathic power as well. Warriors and Drones wouldn't have this but praetorians and Queens would. Praetorians because they are essentially the queens generals as well as bodyguards. So just its sheer size, intensity and potentially millions of years of development, would lead to a significant power buff over that of any queens born to humans. Cassandras "human" mind which is a bit less killy and a bit more thinky was then used as a means to bridge the gap between apex predator and sentient thinking human in order to direct the hive towards marlows ends. He originally tried with Jonas (her dad) but failed and then Cass was born and it had worked.

There is one other moment about Aliens: DD. A contradiction of sorts. We can see the giant eggs aswell, the ones probably laid by another titanic species that later developed into a queen of it's species. That's an interesting concept, BUT... if these giant skeletons down there and the Space Jockey from original alien are one and the same, then who laid those regular-sized eggs in the first movie? If we go by the logic of DD, then those eggs in Alien should also be giant, but they are not. Who laid them? After Aliens(or some time after, when it was established that Xenos morph into higher forms -> Queen) it was always implied that the thing that burst out of the Space Jockey later morphed into a Queen we see in Aliens and laid those eggs on the ship. Yes, there was another theory about those eggs just being transported by the ship and the Space Jockey got infected accidentally, but here we have even more questions - what happened to the creature that was born out of the pilot and still who laid those regular-sized eggs? Honestly, I liked DD way more than Prometheus, it doesn't try to play around with philosophy or humanity's origins and does a far greater job at staying close to its roots. But the writing was one of the weaker parts of it, and by trying to pay homage to the original, it created too many contradictions.

Dude, give up on trying to understand the origin of the Xenomorphs, It's a huge waste of time. Nobody involved with the franchise, SPECIALLY Ridle Scott, has any idea of how to answer that, so they keep adding layers to It to keep people hooked on some twisted form of hype for the hypothetical day in which "It will all make sense". Maybe It was the Engineers, but I'm pretty sure Deacons have been added to stuff outside of Prometheus, which would imply that Engineers also faced the xenomorphs in the past. Ridley Scott really wants to hype up David (Michael Fassbender is amazing by the way) to be "the one", but now we have xenomorphs on the time of the Jockeys, which means that they are even older than the whole Engineer species altogether. And let's not even start with how the Yautjas/Predator species interact with this whole mess of a plotline. So right now the guess is that It was either the Jockeys or someone/something even older. Honestly, they should just drop any measure of logic and say that they were created by some Lovecraftian God, or came from Warhammer 40K, because there's no way to clean up this timeline. The only certainty is that these xenomorphs keep comming back don't matter how many times you wipe them out, there will always be a new mad scientist aor archeologist creating or uncovering more facehuggers and rebooting the cycle.

That last mission was such a HUGE disappointment. It felt like a "Hey look at our CGI capabilities" type of level. The ending of the story was also crap. Up until that last mission, the game was great.

Engineers are more humanoid where the Space Jockeys are more Bio-Mechanical and were actually born from the ships like the one in ALIEN. In fact the dead inhabitants in the ruin city were actually given birth by the city itself but only to be fused with the city.

@@LIZARGames345_YT not necessarily, there are stark differences between the design of Prometheus engineers and what we see in Alien from 1979. one example is size, the fossilized being in Alien was almost twice the size of an engineer and had already been there for millions of years, Another characteristic is that the ship has a more grotesque design than the engineers' ship in Prometheus. The internal space of the ship in Alien also seems larger to accommodate the eggs in the cargo hold, while the engineers' ships have oval sectioned rooms connected by corridors.
