PLEASE READ: Regarding T’Vondre Sweat, I am aware the partying and drinking were more of an issue early on in his college career, and I should have done a better job conveying that in the video. However, given the DWI arrest right before the draft, those behaviors once again become a concern, as he has shown clear regression from major personal progression. I could have done a better job conveying that I was more concerned about the regression, that’s on me, but I do feel as though everything I said in the video is an accurate representation of the situation, as shown by similar testimonies from professionals/experts that are far more in the know than you or I. I have no doubts that Sweat CAN be better and avoid these issues, but the fact that it’s a question of whether or not he can rather than a universal acceptance that he already has is a cause for concern in my eyes. At the end of the day, the dude drove a vehicle while intoxicated, blew over the legal limit, got arrested, and received charges. Is that the end of his life? No, but it could’ve been the end of his life and others, which is the issue/concern. Thankfully, he has a chance to move past this and make millions playing football, and I hope he is able to do just that for 10+ years in the NFL with no more legal trouble whatsoever.

I'm super excited for the season! The left side of the oline is looking great with the two 1st rounders. We have a top ten center now, solid trio of WRs and the defense is looking elite. Defense has stars on each level with Sneed, Jones and Simmons. TitanUP!

My argument for Lawrence is he plays for a poverty franchise with holes everywhere, and his best WR, is a middle of the road WR2. My argument against him is the numbers, and the inability to win games. A good QB is a difference maker, he wins games, Lawrence has not proven that at all. In my opinion, there are probably about 12 guys better than Lawrence.

The NFL is just a reflection of society...you will have players at times who will behave badly from time to time. Some learn and other don't. It's not a church with nuns. I would not care less about partying as long as he practices and shows up to work...With the kind of money he will make, he will have access to partying regardless of the team he plays for...Not everybody in the NFL is in for the love of football but rather what the NFL can bring to them. As long as he shows up to work and perform, that's all I care. what he does outside the building is his business...same goes for any player...
@MillerFootball2 ай бұрын
@@gusjoe1381 agreed 100%. Perhaps I didn’t do a good job of relaying it in the video, thus prompting your comment, but if he does what he needs to do then partying is no problem! However, when the stories coming out of UT relate mostly to him not taking football seriously at least partially because of his partying habits, that’s where the issues arise. If he wants to be Vince Wilfork by day, Vince Neil by night then that’s his prerogative, just gotta see the results on the field like with any other player.

@@MillerFootball I live in a big city where partying is a part of the city so I just have a different perspective when scouts talk about ''concerns'' about partying habits of a player...I don't treat players like robots as if the NFL is their only life. Had to stop watching as soon as you gave the, “Trevor Lawrence is an elite QB” take. The tape doesn’t show it and the numbers definitely don’t show it. He’s not even a top 10 QB. In fact, Carr and Mayfield just finished with better seasons than he did. QB’s I would definitively take over him this season: -Mahomes -Burrow -Allen -Jackson -Stafford -Stroud -Prescott -Goff -Love -Purdy -Hurts -Cousins -Tagovailoa If we stopped there that would put him at 14th, but as mentioned he hasn’t even proven he’s better than Carr or Mayfield either. We’ll see how Rodgers bounces back and if Williams lives up to the billing as well. Lawrence is merely average to slightly above average to anyone logical.
@MillerFootball2 ай бұрын
@@derektaitano6504 given the fact that you’re watching this video, I’m going to assume you are a Titans fan. Which, if true, I’m going to ask you to be objective for a moment and REALLY consider what Lawrence is. The tape shows a young QB who possesses elite pocket presence & awareness, an elite ability to read defenses pre and post snap, a high-caliber arm, accuracy that borders on pinpoint, and the ability to make something out of nothing consistently. His lack of production/success if you’re a QB wins person (not sure if you are, but it’s a common critique of Lawrence and you left Herbert off your list for some ungodly reason) are due to an incompetent front office that has failed to build up any sort of competent support for him, which is why I said what I did about Ridley. The guy is putting on an incredible display on tape week in and week out after being slapped with Urban Meyer as his HC as a rookie, something that would have totally ruined the careers of most young QBs. His consistent improvement and development has, in my eyes, launched him into elite QB status. To me personally, there are not more than 11 QBs in this league better than Lawrence at this very moment. Among active QBs, I would take (in no order) - Mahomes - Jackson - Allen - Burrow - Herbert - Stafford - Prescott - Hurts Over him for sure. Other than that, I would say he’s in the same tier of quarterbacks as - Murray - Purdy - Rodgers (if healthy) - Cousins (if healthy) - Love (if he can replicate the back half of last year) - Stroud (if he can replicate last year, I am very particular when it comes to ranking 2nd year players) Out of that group I mentioned, Rodgers is the only one I’m taking over Lawrence when healthy. I am all for open dialogue, discussion, and disagreement, but the level of disrespect that comes from “had to stop watching as soon as…” is something I simply cannot get behind. Please do us all a favor and open up your mind to differing ideas, it will greatly improve your quality of life! That being said, thank you for the small bit of engagement I received from your interaction here. I appreciate it!
@derektaitano65042 ай бұрын
@@MillerFootball so you have Lawrence as the 10th ranked QB right now? That’s not elite. That would make him above average like I said lol. You are throwing the term elite around way too loosely. If he consistently put the “elite” traits you mention on tape you would not have Cousins ranked over him and he would have carried Jacksonville to the playoffs last year instead of having a second half of the season meltdown. And as for his consistent improvement talk, that’s just simply not true. He took an objective step back from his 2022 season to any logical person. If you are giving Lawrence the benefit of the doubt that he will reproduce his 2022 season, when he literally just failed to last year, then you should logically give Love and Stroud the benefit of the doubt to reproduce theirs. Lawrence isn’t even discernibly better than Baker Mayfield.

@@cliffyates4493 you totally misunderstood my reply. My issue wasn’t with him not wanting to continue watching my content or anything of that nature, it was just the blatant disrespect towards something I had worked on and put time/effort into. If you turn on the video and decide it’s not for you, that’s totally fine! The beauty of the internet is that we have endless content at our fingertips, so we should only dedicate our time to what we want to and filter out what we don’t. However, it is SO easy to simply click off the video and search for the next one. Attempting to demoralize a small creator with comments such as “I had to turn off the video because…” is doing nothing for anybody and is simply spreading negative energy for no reason, much like your “wannabe NFL analyst” comments. Quite frankly, whether or not you or the original commenter like my content doesn’t matter, as it’s clearly not intended for you if it doesn’t suit your fancy. Plain and simple. I hope you’re both able to find content you actually enjoy and are able to totally avoid my little corner of the internet going forward, as it would clearly benefit all parties involved! I try to reply to as many comments as I can because, as a small creator, it is good for retention/building a community to interact with those who consume your content. My reply was simply an attempt to get my point across to someone who disagreed with me. Plain and simple.
