A couple of ways but primarily, if leaf guard won’t get buffed to be like hydration, give it another ability and give it some better coverage options as well. I’ve seen people suggest triage but I think giving a special/attack boost version of chlorophyll would help.

Meganium should have received the Fairy Type in Gen 6 or a Grass/Fairy Type Alolan Form in Gen 7. The Johto Starters getting Alolan Forms in Gen 7 like the Kanto Starters got Megas in Gen 6 just made sense but it didn’t happen
