This entire song is like a chord-and-a-half....but it manages to conjure a degree of badassery that boggles the mind.

Was listening to Kurt earlier tonight. Thank you for reminding me I wanted to listen to Lane next.

Clint Michardson Staley was the best vocalist to emerge from the whole "grunge" scene, I think...one of the best in rock history, really.

@@GeetarAdam Sorry friend, Chris Cornell has that title. Lane's tricks are cool and both him and Kurt have a hell of a spitting nails voice but with Cornell's timber, bass, and, range, he takes the lead.

@@brucemetzger183 While my opinion may differ, I certainly can appreciate yours. Between Lane and Chris, there are really no other close contenders. They were both phenomenal in their own rights. For my part, I think Lane had better vocal control…exhibited better trills and runs…soul kinda stuff…but Chris had a better more raw kinda Robert Plant pure rock power in his higher register. At the prodigious level, these things are kinda subjective. I find that I feel more connection to Chris’s vox as I age, but I still think that…pre-heroin damage…Lane’s voice was just more pure Marshall full-stack than Chris’s. But it’s kinda like arguing over who was a better boxer, Joe Louis or Sugar Ray Robinson. Both were apex.

so under-rated what a great live band, consistently. i have seen them since 1994 and will continue anytime they are in the area. they rip it up every time, and really really nice guys.

Man he is still kicking ass after 20 years and those floor toms are badass as fuck. I'm seeing them in Houston in a few weeks.

I saw them in April of '14 and they did the 2 toms thing for I Burn there too. Coolest song of the night

152 views? Are people too crazy-busy with napkin folding lessons, and they aren't listening to one of the top 5 most talented bands of the 90's.

Don't impale me for saying this but this song always reminds me of the 65,000,000 BC music in Chrono Trigger. Like, A LOT like it. I can't help but wonder if Yasunori Mitsuda heard this song and was like "Yes. This. I shall 16-bit it."

I just got back from a show at Emo's in Austin and saw this addition for the first time and my jaw was on the floor. What a great addition to the song. You just can't have too much percussion.

My younger brother had seen the at an earlier leg in this tour and he was being cryptic about "I hope they do what they did when I saw them before," but he wouldn't say what that was. When he saw the floor toms being set up he nearly danced a jig.

Sounds nice but the electric guitar on rhe original is powerful. Plus I despise the audience singing along like a pop audience.
