This was very beautiful. I felt the Holy Spirit when you read that verse from Romans. I almost cried.

Thank you very much for this amazing short film, brother in Christ. I am currently working on a book, a historical fiction of the life of Luke the Evangelist and I was really wondering what happened to Mark and Barbaby when they went back to Cyprus because I can't find anything about what happened to them in the bible... I just discovered that is year could really be the year 1021... and not 2021... maybe the devil really has fooled the whole world ;-) May Christ be back soon.

BA-FOS please, not pa-thos.
@SimonPeterSutherland2 жыл бұрын
Actually it's Paphos or Pafos, not "BA-FOS"
@goodgood99552 жыл бұрын
@@SimonPeterSutherland definitely no 'thos'. Cypriots say ba-fos or ba-fo depending on the contex. No 'pa' as in papa. Grew up in Paphos 2yr sold to 9. I have a dream that Alexander the Great is buried there.

@@goodgood9955 The New Testament Greek is Πάφος and translated into English is Paphos or paf'-os.
@goodgood99552 жыл бұрын
@@SimonPeterSutherland obviously something is lost in translation LOL. Στην Πάφο meaning 'in Paphos' you would pronounce it (if u were a half Greek Cypriot raised in Paphos such I) as stin ba-fo. As in 'ba ba black sheep have you...' It's a heavy 'B' not a 'P' as in the word pathology. It's a pronunciation issue. May I suggest a nugget of a six part series The Aphrodite Inheritance. English production filmed in Paphos and other parts of Cyprus (but mainly Paphos). Stars Brian Blessed, filmed in 1978. It was a BIG thing in Cyprus at the time. They cast put on a show for the benefit of the townspeople at the harbour in Kato Paphos during the wine festival. I was there as an 8 year old and remember Brian Blessed.

@@goodgood9955 In New Testament studies the Greek Lexicons number Πάφος as G3974. In Strong's Concordance Paphos paf'-os , is "Of uncertain derivative; Paphus, a place in Cyprus: - Paphos". Whereas in Thayer's Lexicon, the definition is "Paphos = “boiling or hot” 1) a maritime city on the west end of Cyprus, with a harbour. It was the residence of a Roman proconsul. “Old Paphos” was noted for the worship and shrine of Venus (Aphrodite) and lay some 7 miles (10 km) to the south-east of it." Whichever way people around the world understand the pronunciation, Paphos is a lovely place and very important Biblically.
