Lyrics:
I carry smile when I'm broken in two
And I'm nobody without someone like you
I'm trembling inside
And nobody knows it but me (yeah)
Lie awake, it's a quarter past three
I'm screaming at night if I thought you'd hear me
Yeah, my heart is calling you
And nobody knows it but me (well, well)

I was incarcerated and I was 20 and my girlfriend was 18 and she wrote me the lyrics to this song and it broke me really bad and I vowed that I would never put Anyone thru something like the way I did to her..We have 2 beautiful daughters that are grown up and successful and I pray that they know that our love was real…We are now in our 40’s and know that whatever happens we love what we had!🙏

I lost the love of my life 11 years ago. It pains me that i still love her and that i lost her. The fact that you miss yours after 30 years makes me even sadder that what i know to be true will be true. I will never get over her or stop loving her. The hardest part of life is living without the one you love. Especially harder when you see them loving someone else living the life with them that you dreamt they would’ve lived with you.

My oldest daughter is 28 and it reminds me of her Dad so much! We split and he got married and is very successful but his wife is very ill in a wheelchair and he runs his own business and comes home to take care of her! I'm so happy that he found love and success, it's hard enough to find just one! I would be lying if I said it doesn't hurt all these years later! He was an addict and poor when they got together and still loved him and helped him through it all! She is very good to my daughter and granddaughters and they love her very much,so even though it hurts I'm blessed that he married such a wonderful strong wife!!!

The 90s. Simply incredible. The world was going to be our oyster. What happened? Feel so lucky to have been born in 1980 and had my teens in the 90s because it was a decade that was brilliant, so much optimism, the world seemed so good, things were changing, no social media, mobiles were few and far between, man life was just excellent

I just thought this was a sad song boy was I wrong. Didn’t know who or why I was looking for. Probably just to enjoy myself crying . When I was younger at grandma and grandpas we had one of those wash tubs. I guess strict southern ways means no indoor plumbing. Even if my ex had known my depression because of add or whatever. I never said I was gonna let that defining me. I was wrong about a mental illness . But this song you can still cry your eyes out at the weight of the world

Damn give me the 90s back, when we would listen to music without scrolling our phones at the same time! We would hear every note, every word so deeply, and we would literally connect to the song and feel its message. Kids these days just don't have that connection to music like we did. They probably want to know how many plays a song has, or shazams, or if someone has made a tic-tok of it. Somewhere along the line we lost our way. 😢

I wish people still made music like this pure and from the heart. I am metal head I play on heavy metal bands but I'm also a musician so I know when credit is do I actually love stuff like this. Everything is so different today. Heart, soul and creativity have left us there is a few out there in all styles keeping it alive but not enough.

[singing:] I pretend that I'm glad you went away These four walls closing more every day And I'm dying inside And nobody knows it but me Like a clown I put on a show The pain is real even if nobody knows And I'm crying inside And nobody knows it but me Why didn't I say the things I needed to say How could I let my angel get away Now my world is just a-tumblin' down I can say it so clearly but you're nowhere around The nights are so lonely the days are so sad and I just keep thinking about the love that we had And I'm missing you And nobody knows it but me I carry smile when I'm broken in two And I'm nobody without someone like you I'm trembling inside And nobody knows it but me (yeah) Lie awake, it's a quarter past three I'm screaming at night if I thought you'd hear me Yeah, my heart is calling you And nobody knows it but me (well, well) How blue can I get? You could ask my heart But like a jigsaw puzzle it's been torn all apart Billion words couldn't say just how I feel A million years from now you know I'll be loving you still The nights are so lonely the days are so sad and I just keep thinking about the love that we had And I'm missing you And nobody knows it but me Oooo oohhhhh yeah Tomorrow morning, I'm a hit a dusty road Gonna find you, where ever, ever you might go And I'm gonna unload my heart and hope you come back to me

I was 18 years old when this song came out . I instantly fell in love with it . Whoever thinks that time machine has not been invented is a fool . It's always been there in the form of music. It takes you right back to that long gone sweet innocent time . You remember where you were , what was going on in your life , your friends....... everything

I remember the first time I heard this song on the radio I was working at a recycling site at a Safeway parking lot and It was late afternoon and raining I just cried my eyes out... That was the early 90s, radio and MTV. No cellphone.

Nobody Knows was Written By Joe Rich and Don Dubos'e in Sept 1993. It was later produced and performed By Tony Rich in 1995 on Laface records and became a world wide pop hit in 1996. Later that year Country Singer Kevin Sharp went #1 for 5 weeks on the country charts.

I remember the song years ago. I always thought it was Babyface singing. Great voices for both.

@UThink UCan No I meant Written By Joe Rich and Don Dubose Lol. Tony Rich Song and Produced It . Also Keven did A beautiful Country Version and Back then to run 4 weeks on the country was a big deal because Billy Ray Cyrus held the record for 5 weeks at the time.

Kevin Sharp had no business singing this song. Tony Rich and only Tony Rich should sing this.
