Down to the factory hood ornament! I loved this body style the hood ornament let you see how much the hood sloped when you drove these trucks! My very first brand new Chevy truck was a 91 extended cab with a 350 and 5 speed stick shift, an automatic was a option back then! Now their all automatics on the lot! Mine was two tone, bright blue and dark gray in the middle! I just got married I test drove this truck and a brand new 454 SS my wife told me it was my choice, I picked the extended cab because I wanted kids, but I wanted that new 454 SS so bad, we didn’t have a lot of money so this would be the only vehicle I could afford!

It's exactly how I'd build one. Well, I'd probably go for every handling upgrade available, 17" billet truck rallys, and a nasty N/A LS with a 6-speed. I like drag racing, but I almost never do it. Fun on country roads is what I like.

I have been street racing since I was 15. My dad let me race his sleeper '73 Olds Delta 88, 350cid the gold rocket engine and a 4bbl carb. It was a heavy car, but I won a lot of races with it. I now street race my sleeper 2010 Silverado 1500. I have a Spectre cold air intake, Spectre throttle body spacer, Flowmaster Catback duel exhaust and a friend tweeked the computer. It went from 315hp to 425hp. When I smash gas when I'm racing, it locks my seatbelt. I always put it in 4wd and turn on the trailering button on the gear shifter when I race. With the front end torque, my truck launchs like a rocket. I have won a lot of races with my truck.

Did nearly the same in a 74 Cheyenne Super with a 454. It had full wheel covers on it when it was bought. Slicks on plain steel wheels with those same wheel covers. Didn't yank the front tires but man was it fun. 3500 Converter, 150 N2O, 4.56s, Lingenfelter modified Strip Dominator, Comp Cam all on the stock cast pistons. It embarrassed a few cars, ESPECIALLY a certain 69 Z28.

This is like the nicer and Chevy version of my 79 dodge I’m building hope to have it done this summer. Buddy wasn't going to put a cage in his camaro , but he was warned that if he ran sub 10 seconds at bandimere speedway he'd be out without a cage , so sub 10 seconds is where you must have a cage . I don't go fast I have my cash and time into going slow offroad, but I just recall my one buddy telling my other buddy while building his camaro the rules and not to be cheap skipping the cage because his car would most likely be under 10 unless he sand bagged every run .

@@doughopkinsjr They know it's fast after the first run, so tech should be on it. In the 1980's I brought my Nova to the track after putting a 3500 converter in it. Loved the way they make an engine sound on the street 😁. Forgot my helmet. Guys at tech said if it runs faster than 14.0, you will get kicked out without a helmet.
