This obviously was a special acoustic performance with just Taylor and Ben. Some info on Taylor Momsen, she was a child actress staring as little Cindy Lou Who in How The Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey and on the show Gossip Girl as Jenny Humphrey. Taylor had been an actress since she was 3 but her passion had always been music so when she was old enough to choose for her self she quit and formed The Pretty Reckless with Ben Phillips (guitar) and producer Kato Khandwala. In 2017 they were on tour with Soundgarden when Chris Cornell died and Taylor didn't take it well because she looked up to him and it was a dream of hers to open for them. A few months later her best friend/producer died in a motorcycle crash. This sent her into a long deep depression so bad she wasn't even able to listen to music any more until she forced herself to because it is her version of therapy. (can relate) finally she was able to write again and the album Death By Rock And Roll was created out of the whole process. The album name was sort of a band matto that was started by Kato. TPR hold the record of most #1 hits by a female fronted rock band beating the previous by several. The song Only Love Can Save Me Now feat. Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron of Soundgarden is my personal favorite and I recommend the official video to get the whole effect with Kim and Matt. Plus it just supports the lyrics so well. "25" acoustic is a great song recorded during covid that really showcases Taylors unique vocal and writing ability. Highly recommend. I could go on all day with awesome recommendations but you get the picture.

They had 7 number 1 on charts mid 2000s, when mainstream wasn't paying attention to Rock. Recently TPR toured with The Warning

TPR are seriously underrated, particularly Taylor. Go check "Just tonight" (nice hard rock song) and the piano version of "25"; Taylor's rendition is outstanding. On a side note: in 2017 she was touring with Soundgarden when Chris Cornell died. She was a lifelong fan and then became a close friend of Chris; also one of the last persons to see him alive, just the night before. Just some days after his death, she made probably one of the most beautiful renditions ever of "Like a Stone" on Chris' memory. Check that one too, it's just something else.

Love The Pretty Reckless! I saw them with The Warning and they were awesome! Defiantly worth looking into, I recommend checking out the song 25.
