In middle school my buddy Tim and I used our Joes for wrestling feds. We each had our own champions and would do do supercards whenever we had a sleepover. Big Boa was my (heel) champion for like a year before dropping the title to underdog Quick Kick in an emotional main event.

The wrestling booker in me is sad to see that Hasbro unmasked Big Boa for this edition. That should have been saved for a pay per view with a huge buildup and ending in a mask vs mask match against Cobra Commander and Destro. It starts heel vs heel, but Boa turns babyface after losing his mask.

My brother and I did the same thing. The articulation made them perfect for wrestling. My WWF Hasbro ring got way more use from my GI Joes than it did my WWF Hasbros. I remember tunnel rat was one of my top guys and the mortal kombat ninjas had a stranglehold on the tag titles and used freebird rules

But something compelled me to do otherwise, and legit less than an hour after my confirmation email...it was sold out. I also put in a fund for the latest Kickstarter backing...of course I chose the Secret Galaxy option lol

As a kid, I was blown away by the sci-fi and yet medieval themes of He-Man, and the Masters of the Universe. The original characters where really cool, and they had neat vehicles and the Castle Grayskull playset.......in the later years, the people designing the figures at Mattel must have been using some real good drugs, because they came up with stuff that no one on the planet would have thought of otherwise. I mean, seriously........Snout Spout......WTF is that.

Awww yisss. These are some of my favourite videos. I love seeing what other people are collecting. I don't have a top 10 as such, but I will say, one of my absolute favourite figures so far this year is The Phalanx (or skeleton Roman) from Boss Fight Studios. I may have to pick up another one (I wish I could afford like 100 of them! They would look amazing in a huge formation). I did add a bit of paint to the pilum and gladius to break up all the silver, but otherwise he's absolutely fantastic.

I'm really impressed with Yolopark's offerings, I have that Megatron and a few of the movie AMK kits - really looking forward to getting the AMK Pro Optimus to go with the Megatron! Definitely top 10 contenders for me.

Terrance I agree with you about motu snout elephant man, but the retro Duke is fantastic. Easy one of the best and makes my list that includes mcfartlane classic green lantern, classic batman and knightfall battyman 💯🦇❤️

Duke is great, but at the end of the day I didn't really have a problem with the first Duke. In fact... I like the previous Duke headsculpt more. So while I'm glad they did the retro version... didn't quite rise to the level of Top 10 for me.

Beastbox "Radiohead" from the Chinese toy brand 52 Toys. They are like Transformers Zoid as in animal theme transformers but they transformed into a literally cube. Most of them come with a transparent storage box so they so stack nicely together.

Big Boa is definitely in my Top 10. I have absolutely zero attachment or knowledge of the character but I’ll be dipped if it isn’t an interesting design! Also, your SG-01 looks like those little translucent DC figures! I cannot remember the name of that line to save my life but my son has a translucent blue w/ silver Batman. I think maybe you have a Green Lantern from that line? Or did? Either way, looks stellar and I’m bummed I missed out!

Did the Techno-Viper show up last year for you? Because right now he's my Joe of the year (although I don't have the Big Boa / Quick Kick / Airbone / Scarlett wave in yet...) I wasn't sold on vehicles for Classified but the VAMP looks *so* good next to the HISS. I didn't think it would be as huge as it is.

Yeah I didn't have Techno Viper as a kid so there's no nostalgic importance there for me. With all the figure coming out I had to pass on a few like Recondo and Techno Viper. I'll likely grab them before the end of the year.

@@ToyGalaxy Yeah my stores have nothing new or interesting. I've never seen Jada's SF figures anywhere. Only saw the FtF Mr. Freeze page puncher months after release which I already bought by then. With Carrot I didn't think anything of it until I saw reviews of it and it was actually a pretty cool release. No desire to pay almost 50+ for a 30 dollar figure though.

I mean Power Princess is a Marvel Legends figure. The best six-inch scale Wonder Woman figure that is technically not Wonder Woman but yeah the Legends team has been killing it this year so you would think there would be more.

Power Princess is in there. I just don't do as many Legends as I used to. I have versions of all the characters that I want. There would have to be a pretty significant upgrade to get me to buy something at this point. OR a new kind of character like Crystar last year. The Zabu BAF could easily make the Top 10 once I have it in hand.

⁠Bobby is a fan of Gina Carano so infer what you will from that. That said I still buy his toys because he doesn't seem as far gone drank the Kool-aid like some people and he's very transparent about the cost and process of making action figures. Everyone is allowed to have their opinions. Sometimes it's better to say nothing if you have nothing nice to say which I imagine is Dan's position but he can speak for himself. Just my two cents.

I have in the past. But I don't really collect many Star Wars or Marvel figures these days and that's most of what they produce. I was buying the Netflix Ultraman figures but the quality wasn't great, especially for the price so I had to stop. I have a bunch of Super Sentai figures... but SHF stopped making those.

I hate how Mighty Maniax repaints the figures to death. It got boring and I lost interest in the line. I don't know why they do it. There are only so many times I can buy the same mold. I saw you are attached to their new Kickstarter so perhaps, you can get them to do some new figures with their fantasy stuff, just to keep it intersting. I don't think the Mighty Maniax is like Battle Beasts. It is only like Battle Beasts in size. Its something totally different and it was fun when it started. If there were more animal characters then it could be like Battle Beasts. The designs are really cool and I was hoping for more with the line because the designs are so cool but I guess not. I didn't back the current Kickstarter because its going to just be repaints again. They have been repainting the same few figures for like 4yrs now. Thats my rant I guess and they are hard to get a hold of to let them know. Thanks for the video also.

Respectable list. There are so many great figures coming this year that it's highly probable none of my top 10 figures thus far will make it onto the top 10 of the year. I'm also not including large toys, like Eternia, or non-articulated toys, like the dozens of anime figures I've purchased so far this year. Which is a shame because Banpresto made a fantastic Albedo and half a dozen Bleach figures that might make the list were they not excluded Anywho, here's my top 10 thus far: 1. Mythic Legions - Azahazzar 2. FuRay Planet - Kensai the Nameless One 3. Four Horsemen Zolocon Exclusive - Skull Man 4. V-Toys - Asura (Red or Green) 5. Mythic Legions - Aracagorr 6.
