If you like Country, check out Jamey Johnson’s new album “Midnight Gasoline”. His ‘08 album “That Lonesome Song” is a top 5 personal fav for me. This new one is his first in nearly 15 years, and it’s fantastic. Great video, I’ll definitely be watching more of this channel.

i'm honestly not super into country outside of the more folk side of it, but if/when i get in the mood i will 100% return to this! thank you so much for the kind words though, and i'm glad you enjoyed 😄

@ Yeah personally I’m sort of the same way, tough the country music that I do like is easily my favorite genre. I hate most modern country, but I love and adore the rawer side (Tyler Childers, Colter Wall, Sturgill Simpson, Charley Crocket, Zach Bryan, and Chris Stapleton all being stand outs). Jamey is a lot cleaner, that sort of older, very slick Nashville sound. It’s kinda the direction I wish Pop country had taken 10-15 years ago, along with bands like Little Big Town and Lady A. Also the new record has so New Orleans influence, with one song (Trudy) being a straight up Jazz-Country fusion.

@@ColemanCS i actually tried getting into magdalena bay, but think i had the wrong entry point. any song recs for that project? haven't listened to quadeca's either and would love a rec there
@ColemanCSАй бұрын
@@kindofconsistent honestly i kinda thought the whole album front to back was 10/10 so it may just not be your thing, imo image, death & romance, and cry for me are probably my top 3 scrapyard by quadeca is a pretty mixed bag but is super well produced, could definitely see it being hit or miss though

@@ColemanCStotally could just be not within what i listen to right now, but i'll 100% give it a try again with a special focus on those tracks. i really appreciate the recs and the positive feedback on the video overall 🙏🏻

no peggy, magdalena bay, or porter robinson. not a fan of this list

funny enough i'm actually listening through JPEG's album as i read this comment - i really enjoy it so far, there's just only so much music i could get to before making this! either on or off the drugs is fantastic, but do you have any other song recs?
@kindofconsistentАй бұрын
i tried magdalena bay as well but didn't feel like i was in the right mood or genre space, so if you had any recs for her i would love to hear some! same with porter robinson, all i know is ericdoa opened for him - i'm actually not super familiar if you wanted to put me on!
