People don't know this one well, but I just discovered it on referral... Pokemon OPALO. Freshest, most complete feeling Pokemon ROM I've ever seen, its amazing. Originally in Spanish, but has a good english dub made. Pokemon world set in a western cowboys/indians/settlers style USA. Up to 8 gens, huge huge quality of life, 16 gyms, two elite fours and the postgame... my gosh, so rewarding. Opalo is better than comparable mainline games. New music, thick plot, beating the game gives you the strongest new Pokemon of all time and unlocks the NSFW fan art gallery lol. You guys reading the comments here will love it.

Emerald Rogue 2.0 is a blast for doing challenges so many replayablities I like that you can just run Gen 1 Dex or Gen 2.

The one that will likely go to the very top of my list, if it ever finally gets released will be Aurora Crystal. I do pray it releases in 2025 because damn that man (Drayano) can make a good hack and there is such a lack of good HeartGold hacks out there, which IMO was the best game of all time.

Damn ive been playing pokemon odyssey for 36 hrs damn i finish until the end of 6th stratum the story is kinda hook and damn ive been complete the 75% of the game its so intense and it gives chills there are so many plot twist of the story and its super fun to play and its not even that hard to grind the pokemons and you can have any pokemon on the shuffle thing if u dont like what u catch u can swap with a random pokemon with no cost and start with level 5 damn thats all I'm gonna say if you dont want to get pissed of by not playing it completely wait until the game just complete 100% and we'll be all satisfied.

Ngl I only played one rom hack and it was radical red, it truly made fall in love with Pokemon again even though it’s very hard and frustrating, so I came here to checkout which rom hack ima play next

Pokemon Oddyssey is the only rom hack i played on this list. Because it breaks away from the traditional pokemon plot. 10yrs old boy/girl set out on journey collect gym badges defeat the elite 4 and be the champion. In Oddyssey its focus more on adventure and exploration the story is good theres a lot of emotion to be seen. most of the battles are doubles. Unless its F.O.E its some kind of field boss that you can battle again and again but be carefull because it is always higher level than your pokemon and it can only be capture once you defeated the captian of your current map. And also it is a collaboration of Etrian Oddyssey / Made in Abys / and of course Pokemon😊 sadly i lost my save files when i was trying to update it hehe. Well im just gonna wait till its complete to playnit again. For now i play Pokemon Glazed, Pokemon Vanguard, and Pokemon Uranium. The last two is fan games it is made using rpg maker so you need to play it on laptop or pc. But you can also play it using Joiplay emulator for android 😊😂😊.

Elite redux has the best features in a rom hack ever (it beats radical red or inclement emerald BY A LANDSLIDE in that regard), but the game is severely held back by the fakemons. Most of them look amazing but are way too unbalanced. Primal Cascoon and Dewleon are two of the most stupid inclusions within the game.

​@@somethingorsomeone180 We can pass on Cascoon because it's a post game thing and I have no plan of using it ever. But Dewleon is certainly cheap and even worse than radical red bringing in a level 250 Aron. This is a common mistake of so many difficulty hacks out there. Within the 1000+ real mons, there are so many combinations/strategies to make the enemies' teams more challenging. Instead, they just go the lazy route and blatantly raise difficulty by using fakemons/hackmons or giving OP legendaries to the most irrelevant foes.
