Low armour teams are just screwed in the BB3 insanity ladder. Orcs, Nurgle, Chaos Chosen, and Dwarfs rule supreme due to their ability to withstand attrition. Elves and Skaven are just screwed.

It’s a hard life for those teams with the orc fest that’s we often see. However one of my best records is with Skaven. You might just have to recycle a lot of players!

5 of the top 10 NAF rated teams in 2024 are low armor teams. I think they limited TV again as well online.

@@FoulPetNAF and BB3 are very digferent games. NAF tries to balance a broken rules set, BB3 ladder emphasize all the broken parts of BB2020

@Kristofer__B I'm sure the tier system helps control teams, but that hasn't stopped Underworld from being broken. Lizards won the last BB3 contest, I think. Arguably, a mixed/hybrid team with bash and agility. I'm not saying BB3 is balanced since I doubt it ever will be, but I don't believe agility is as screwed as it's made out to be. I do think orcs are probably the best all-around team, though. I can't say I'm thrilled about any of the new teams, and now we get gnomes. I'd be interested to see HE in BB3. With the TV limit, it will probably hurt high cost elves, but Skaven should enjoy it.

@@FoulPet what Lizardmen won was a ressurection NAF style event, not the actual ladder teams competing in the play offs. Underworld is severly broken in BB2020 rules, the only way to reign them in is through restrictive rules packages liliting bribes, star players and skill stacking in NAF events

Underworld used right are a little higher, very bash meta though yes, the sneaky git / d player/fowling needs looking into for balance, in blood bowl 3. Nice list however, good video, its hard to rank without putting them in tv specific categories but good job, hanks for the upload.

Thank you. I appreciate the support. Yeah the feedback I’ve had is that I’ve massively undersold underworld. It was only based off my own experience with BB3 which had been primarily ladder I haven’t played against much underworld. Ironically I have in table top and they can be very potent with certain star players. Thought their lack of presence on the game was to do with the mix of teams and being a bashier meta but I’m told they have the best win rate in BB3. I’m aware of their dominance in TT but I thought that was primarily to do with star player access which they are limited on in BB3 but underworld aside I’m still happy with the rest of the list. Very well reasoned out tier list. It hurts, but I pretty much agree with you. It hurts because OWA is my favorite team. I love dwarves, and to have dwarves with an ogre, a couple halflings and a few humans... Well it is right up my alley. It definitely takes time to master them, but I think I found the secret sauce. Anyways, nice video. Good luck out there.

Thank you very much. I have only played a little OWA and I think in the right hands they can be brilliant. Like I said in the video, there is a stream online where I play an OWA sevens team in a tournament. That team went on to win the tournament. I’m thinking of doing OWA as one of my next let’s play videos. Thanks again for watching.

As someone who loves all things Greenskinz, I can say there is noticeable difference in how Lizardmen play vs the Black Orcs. I really do dislike the comparison between the two teams. Lizardmen tend to rely on Strength 4 Saurus screens to protect the little, squishy Skinks until they can break out and score. But, they lack the reliability of a Black Orc team. Black Orcs have the ability to run just as many Strength 4 players (albeit slow), but they come with Brawler allowing them to block more successfully. Their Goblins are also very durable for a Stunty player and are great at removal by way of gang Fouls (easy to set up with Grab on every Orc) with cheap Bribe access. You're not going to score a lot with Black Orcs, but you'll make up for it with cheaper players, cheaper Re-Rolls, and just methodical removal. Your opponent can't win if they don't have any players on the pitch...

Yeah, that was what I hoped to get across, that actually Black Orc Blockers themselves come out the gate a little stronger than saurus blockers. The amount of times an opposition coach has dodged a black orc out on a 4+ against me is more common than you'd think.

I'm sure you'll both be complaining about unfairness in the block when my not even shown chameleons with on the ball and shadowing zoom around the pitch and clothesline your goblins and they confiscate our dice, and even funnier with being pretty well balanced with thick skulled sauruses on the sides it sounds like, and definitely like my humans against your dark elves though.

@@michaelborror4399 I’m not sure I understand what your saying but I did rate Lizardmen as being better than black orcs. I love chameleon skinks. I put them in my top 10 most underrated players.

@@michaelborror4399 I am also confused as I am saying I don't like the comparison of Black Orcs being "worse Lizardmen". They are two distinct teams with different play styles. I've just found over the games I've played with both Lizardmen and Black Orcs, that the Orcs tend to be more reliable out of the gate. That's been my experience at any rate. Lizardmen are a good team. They have a great spread of Strength and speed, but they pay for it with costly player and ReRolls. The Lizard's largest (and only) weakness is the lack of innate Skills at team creation.

I don't understand why you put the agility teams so high in ladder play, since they lack to kill and really only end up losing the players they need to win games. Dark Elves are the most survivable agility team and my favorite team, but I don't see them winning ladder right now, I had Orcs in my first spot. I did take Skaven to the World Cup last year and they are a very powerful tournament team, because of resurrection, so I'm afraid that they will fall apart and need constant rebuilding. Unless you deliberately keep your TV down so you don't have to face as much kill-skills. I do think Underworld are better because of swarming and they have plenty of cheap players to foul a lot. Thank you for posting this video though.

If you watch the games, they tend to stay away from blocks so they only get hit with 1 blitz per turn, and they score and reset often.

Chaos Chosen not even in the top 10? Top 3 team easily on ladder. Mutation access (claws, two heads, extra arms), every player has 4+ st when blitzing (horns), by far the best bash team in the game Suspect list. Maybe you forgot about them?

I do love chaos chosen! But no I didn’t forget them. Excellent at high TV and when you can grind away in the ladder for countless games in order to build up and even collect some cheaper randoms, sacking off players when you don’t get the skills you want then yes chaos chosen can be brutal. But this takes games and whilst a chaos chosen team is either becoming more consistent with block/wrestle and a player with ball skills or becoming riskier and going straight in for MB and claws, other teams are already building on some solid foundational skills. They are effective as an attacking bash team but only once they have started adding block, claws mb and guard. The 1.6 million tv cap also hurts them as some teams are as good as they need to be at that amount where as nurgle and chaos chosen tend to excel at a higher tv. This is why people grind the games in search for randoms in the ladder. You also have to be careful how much you get stuck in as they have lower av than other bash teams such as dwarfs and orcs and the beastman are as brittle as human linemen. These teams with there genrousbhelping of block will work up to mighty blow quickly and then removing beastman is as easy as hitting a clanrat. I’ve actually logged more games with chaos chosen than any other in BB3 and I really enjoy them. You certainly pointed out some great reasons to play as them and they can be monstrous. I just feel they need time and skill to build up to a top 3 team which the ladder allows for. Generally though, for the average player I wouldn’t put them top ten. But hey! That’s what I love about Blood Bowl, not much between a lot of the teams so everyone’s top 10 will look different. This is only my opinion.

Chaos Chosen are OP, definitely a questionable choice to leave them out.

Chaos chosen can be brutal, but at low tv they can be surprisingly fragile against bash and out-played by dash. They are also a mid to low tourney team due to limited skill packages. League and ladder though you can pump in the games and brew up something nasty!

@@Bar0ns_Den I know what you mean, but if you dash when they bash, and you bash when they dash, it usually works out. Takes a while to develop the team but once you have block and pass you can do everything well.
