I have not played Arcs yet. I am excited but also ''scared''. My group can bounce off games pretty hard if they have a bad 1st experience. The two main complaints I have seen around is the game length while learning and understanding the game trick taking concept (bad hands). I am planning on the first few games to cap the game as 3 rounds (and potentially skip the last round if there's a 15 points difference in round 3) to have more manageable game length and potentially reduce the randomness of card draw by splitting the decks in 2 suits and distribute. I don't want to denaturalize the game, but I am thinking these would give a better variety of options in the first few games. If I can ensure my playgroup doesn't bounce of the game really hard, I will be able to slowly remove the baby wheels and play the normal game 🤞

That's valid. I'd definitely have it dialed before you play. The easiest way to simplify it would be to say that the court cards don't have abilities and just use their icons!

How is Harmonies different from Life of the Amazonia? Are there any similarities in terms of gameplay? 😊

Life of the amazonia is phenomenal. Harmonies doesn't have bag building, making it basically just a pick and place tile layer!
