Not sure why ANYBODY would try to blame FOX Network in the earlier post, but Fox did not exist when I watched SNL back in the days of Gilda and Chevy! In Living Color and Simpsons was on Fox years later. Along with X Files, Tracey Ulman, etc. My guess is that person was not alive at the time to know? Even MADtv was on another channel other than that of SNL. SNL just became "unfunny" in the Dennis Miller era. It has its moments, but it is nothing like the days of Jane Curtain, John Belushi, etc. Even SCTV was funnier than SNL, and created John Candy, Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie etc.

@Ty Nickerson, the whole "Drop It Like It's Hot" parody music video was hilarious. The inclusion of the teletubbies was giving flashbacks of ghostface smoking pot in those commercials of guys saying "Wasssap" while sticking out their tongues. Nevertheless, MadTv is way funnier than SNL. The only one in the SNL cast, in my opinion, that's funny is Kenan Thompson and a couple of others. That's it. Other than that, I ALWAYS watched Madtv over SNL growing up. I will happily watch reruns of Madtv anytime and crack up like it's a new episode.
