Truuue. I played Spyral in Zoo format before they got the link- and stopped IMMEDIATELY when they were tier 0 for similar reasons 😂 My fav was when I added aliens bc of Men In Black… So it was Agent J ( who’s a James) with James Bond-while my own name is James! 😅 I loved the aesthetic and simpler effects at first- it reminded me of older Yugioh ie. Agent being like MST and a 1900 attacker and Big Red being Premature Burial.

As the resident Hero player that plays the same deck every dang week, I 100% agree the deck is tryhard. Jut for different reasons. My reason is that it is a long drawn out combo that ends on 3 big doofuses that could be done with 3 cards in stead. being Macro Cosmos, Skill Drain, and Burden of the Mighty. But I will be the Hero player that will be real and say YES. the deck is try hard and does all that work to die to super poly every week. lol

I like to say I played a Gimmicky Non-Meta Spyral deck back in the day. I relied on stuff like Convulsion of Nature and Goddess Skuld's Oracle to see the top cards so I could use the gimmick of Spyral Tough, Spyral Double Helix and Spyral Super Agent resulting in a OTK involving Sleeper, Tough/Super Agent and Decode Talker. Only had 1 Master Plan so when Magicians' Souls came out and got her banned, there went the deck.

I thank you both ,especially this for past month. My tryest hardest deck is Naturia because so much is involved to make it all work, hence trying hard. Deck engines play themselves, regardless of the driver

I mainly picked up Unchained not to be a try-hard because I thought the art was cool and I thought they do something cool with it but they kind of left us high and dry for like 6 years did I think they'd become a meta threat like they were no but they're so cool looking

Runicks seem fine, never had a problem with them. Battlewasp/beetrooper as well. Hero seems reasonable, only on the fact people really try with them to make it super good and still fold easily. To be fair, it's never the destiny hero with some vision thrown; it's the omni hero clusterfuck of 3-5 different hero types mixed in to make a chimera engine of jank. Works really well, but is just too much for a deck that feels like it's been limping out of the gx era for 20 years. Fun and awesome you can make it work, but damn that feels tiring. Surprised we didn't see tearlements on the list, that deck feels like what shaddoll/lightsworns wanted to be. What feels like a try hard deck is either a super meta deck, or a deck that is way to complicated for it's own good. D/D/D, cardian, infernity, psyframe: if you have to put in so much effort to make a board or prevent a board, you have already put in more effort than the guy playing ancient gear that turn 2 runs it over.

As a HERO player i feel like the Sunrise type of play is such a heavy tryhard deck. 🤣 Many times i beat it what people say is the inferior deck which i play Dark HERO. Idk why but it hard counters the most generic HERO play. Many of my friends question why i play it. It's more for the hell of it also i like Destiny HEROes more. And on top of it I hardly bring out Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer. The only time I play him is when back is against the wall. But even then i hate playing him so much because i hate the whole "get out of jail" card (not saying i hate him at all. Love him as a card). But also i mostly use Malicious Bane just to spite them. 🤣

if an archetype doesnt do enough i throw either runick or horus in it as a crotch. im not a tryhard. if i cant make something i like work, if i have to play meta to win... i just skip the format. i hate mirrors

anybody that isnt good and just picks the "best" decks or meta decks in whatever format they ask, as if they just discovered the game and want the auto-win option instead of playing and learning and discovering the game for themselves. if you wanna speedrun blasting through a hobby/activity you could actually emotionally invest in instead of trying to "beat" the whole thing so you can go back to wasting your life on tiktok or some other redundant crap, by all means please ruin most games you have against other players likely better than you who just wanna have fun with, heaven forbid, a non-meta deck those are the real tryhards
