Now its “meta” DDV is my absolute favorite edison trap. I built my whole deck to use it for free because of how tilting it is 🎉 My deck is “BirdFlu”

I’m shocked that pulling the rug hasn’t gotten reprinted yet especially with all the attention Konami is putting on legacy formats. Since they’re making Econ an ulti in the next OTS pack, here’s hoping that they reprint pulling the rug as a super or something.

I dont think its really fair to compare decree and trap stun. The two cards are used in fundamentally different decks. Trap stun is for decks that want to use traps and be able to lock down the field for key plays while decree is for decks that arnt playing traps and don't want your opponents to be using them and neither of the cards would be decent substitutions for each other. As far as the strength of each card goes, while decree is very powerful up front I think trap stun has a higher ceiling. You can lure people into setting more cards against your set stun while against decree your opponent will simply hold onto them until they find an answer.

New to Edison. Can you explain which cards royal oppression beats and which ones it doesn’t? It beats dark armed and synchros so I imagine it beats inherit summons, but does it beat call of the haunted? Does it beat return from different dimension? Why doesn’t it beat vayu synchro summons? Does it not heat effects that ss? Does it only beat inherit summons? WhT abuut miracle fusion or future fusion or dark metal dragon, both it’s own summon effect and it’s revival effect?

Royal oppression negates all of those, including vayu. Vayu does not banish for cost but for effect so you can just keep activating vayu and your opponent can keep paying 800lp to negate until they eventually run out of life points, after which you can still activate vayu again and synchro summon regardless, thus making oppression virtually useless against vayu. It's the same case with treeborn frog, you can negate all day long but eventually treeborn will come again when you run out of lp for oppression.

Interesting video and I think our general top 20 is all the same, but mine are very different ordering haha. I don’t think torrential is top 5, maybe top 10. Dustshoot and mirror force are definitely 1-2. Oppression Solemn are up there. Icarus is top 10. Compulsory too. It’s all based on our individual experiences anyway. Cool to hear your stance!
