Quite surprised that you had Gripknit as 3rd choice especially knowing how much you love the GX line, personally I like the gripknit as well, but it’s more of an acquired taste, like you have to prefer wanting additional grip on the ball and be prepared for an adjustment period if you’ve never tried them before because god knows I’ve tripped over a few times when dribbling but now I’ve gotten much more used to it.

#1 spot deserved. I mainly rotate between my DNA’s, neo 3 non beta, Neo 4 beta and once I was able to get the wave cups I haven’t stopped wearing them. The short but aggressive studs add that aggressiveness the dnas and Neo lack. I also felt the leather “plusness” is a perfect medium between the thinner Neo and slightly more plush Morelia 2.

ive only used hypervenoms/phantoms for forever since Mercs were always too tight for my liking. Have had my phantom gx2s for a while and it has become so annoying trying to go on dribble runs and the ball being stuck to me making me lose it. I really love the synthetic leather upper from the Adler Yamatokyo. Most people wouldn’t even know that it’s not real leather if you just handed it to them. I just wish they made 24jpn size, their smaller is a 24.5jpn and it’s a little too long in the toes. Also if they added the carvo shank from the Yatagarashus.

Shame the Wave Cup is near impossible to find. As of now my favorite is Diadora Maximus due to its plush leather all around. Copa Icon 2 might also be a contender, tho its midfoot is synthetic. Imo Alpha Elite is also better than MIJ, since it feels softer and is tiny bit more padded.

Great video Noah. Unrelated but looking at Diadora Maximus for padded feel. You recommend half size down, is this in cm or actual size? Normally I’m 7.5 UK in Nike or 8 UK in Adidas, both of which is 265cm, Diadorra 7.5 UK is 260cm. So would going 7.5 UK be considered half size down or would 7UK be better (full 1cm down to 255)? Thanks in advance for any advice.
