Go back and watch his 3-point contest in 1986, the first one ever held, and you'll see why he was so lethal. Without a money ball rack, the dude made 23 points and made 9 in a row before he missed. What's so impressive about the one that everyone remembers is that even though he underperformed, he still won the event and told everyone that he would. Although he had won the last two as well, he needed a certain amount to win it. And that last ball, that he shot to win his third three point contest in a row, he called it and knew it was going in, and put his finger up, knowing that it would drain.
