They seriously gonna leave out Ohtani's splitter? Hitters are 1-36 with 28 K's with a GB rate of 75%....it's literally the toughest pitch to make contact with or put into play....

Kevin Gausman's split change is one of the nastiest pitches in the league right now. People forget that he only throws 2 pitches. That and a fastball. Went through the entire month of may and only gave up 3 earned runs with 2 pitches.

How does Pena not have degrom on his list. Lead the nl in strikeouts last couple years. Added velocity for 5 consecutive years. Hardest thrower starter in the league. Slider faster than cats fastballs. Come on man!

What about it? He missed most of 2019 to TJS, 2020 he sat out, and he stunk this year before going down with another injury. His pitches were topping out in the high 90's. It's not 2018 anymore.

They left out Trevor Bauer's spitball! And deGrom throws harder than 98-99. He's at 101 when he needs it. And he doesn't use any additives or artificial ingredients like Bauer/Cole and 70% of the guys do.

Josh Hader's fastball isn't even good. He has horrible spin rate, below 2000rpm on all his pitches if I remember well and only throws fastball slider. He throws hard but certainly doesn't have elite velocity nowadays. He's one of the few nowadays who gets by with deception. Hitters have a hard time seeing his release point and he has great extension which adds perceived velocity giving hitters less time to react. I feel like it's hard to call a pitch nasty when the pitcher who throws it is really good because of deception.
