Great video and great narration. Also, very nice drone shot. That's one of the chief benefits of it being a National Conservation Area, and not a National Park. Red Rock is very drone friendly. Drones are allowed everywhere in the National Conservation Area with the exception of the La Madre Wilderness and the Rainbow Wilderness areas. (*) So, no drones on the La Madre Springs/Willow Springs trails. Also, no drones in the Ice Box Canyon or the Pine Creek Canyons, once you get back into the canyons themselves. The beginnings of the trails, heading toward the canyons, are fine for operating a drone. And of course, you can fly over the canyons, you just can't operate the controls, take off, or land back in the canyons. There are probably more like 60 or 70 hiking trails in and around the park area. There are 30 formally recognized trails that are featured on the maps, and have signage, etc., but there is a whole web of wonderful trails criss-crossing the area. I have lived nearby for two decades and I still haven't hiked all of the many trails. Again, great video. (*) The Red Rock National Conservation Area is huge, extending far beyond the fee/park area, and stretching all the way up to Mount Charleston.

Hi! Thanks for this video! Is it mid february a good time to go hicking there? Is it too cold? Do you Know a tour company that can get you there? Thanks!

Hi Veronica thanks for watching. We did the hike on our own. You may want to use viator they have a horseback riding tour. There is also valley of fire hiking trails- we did a review of that as well search Scottsdale Travel Chick Valley of Fire I know viator has an excursion there. February might be a good time to go not too hot. Just layer up, think I had 3 layers on when I did this hike.

You forgot Turtlehead Peak. Much better than Willow Springs and La Madre Springs

Hi Melissa Aug is one of the hottest months to visit Vegas area. If you want to do any hiking, need to go as early as you can - like at sunrise.

That music in the background is a bit loud and distracting and really takes away from the video.

Used to live there in the 90's and hit RRC about once a month, WHEN IT WAS FREE. Do they still have camping designated outside the park near the end?
