Baizhu honestly is slept on, he’s a strong healer with resistance interruption and also buffs dendro reactions. The buffs work like shenhe, yunjin, and sigewinne.

I agree he is a good character (especially with Furina) and I like how his biggest heal is only tied to his skill, but I personally kinda don't really like how his micro-shielding/interruption resistance works. In the few cases where I do need interruption resistance (against enemies that attack very frequently), I want more reliable interruption resistance and not a shield that breaks in one attack and then you get interrupted by the next attack.

Same. I almost regretted getting him but then pressing his skill and healing for 12k+ on the Entire team is just.... way too good. To say nothing of how sticky his Dendro application is for aggravate. His burst heals you when the shield pops so while the shield itself is made of paper where it shines is, again, dendro application and HEALING. I almost always have Baizhu on my active team now.

Childe is another character where I feel like you either love him or you hate him. I think if I only knew him surface level I wouldn't even consider him as a character I enjoy/like, but honestly? Reading his lore is so worth it, plus him being an older brother and trying to protect Teucer really hit me as an older sibling.

i did his story quest the other day and it really hit me how he just wants tuecer to look up to him, asking us to go along with his toy salesman front. and i full on teared up when he had us give him the mr cyclops action figure he had specially made, learning about him has made me want to grab him soooo badly whenever he reruns, (also the basically trial run we had in his story run, i love his gameplay) i started late end of 4.6.

I like Childe. He's my first 5*. He's even C2 with signature weapon. I feel like people would hate him either because of him being a villain or his kits.

On paper I like the type of 'sword logic' character that just strives to fight strong opponents (iron sharpens iron mentality). For some reason it just hasn't really clicked with Childe, maybe it's his overall design? Also while his 'melee hybrid' kit is interesting I think for some reason a lot of players aren't really into most bow characters as they can feel pretty clunky to play (Wuthering Waves has the same issue I feel with Gun characters), it's hard to put a finger on it.

I love Childe and his gameplay, but I'm so tired of International (and using him just for +1 normal attack talent for Neuvillette is even worse as I hate Neuvi's playstyle) and he just doesn't feel as strong elsewhere (I'm someone who doesn't pick a character (or at least an on-fielder) based on their power, but for the ones I pick, I would like to play them in their best teams). That's the main reason I really hope Natlan *finally* gives us a Xiangling and/or Bennett alternative.

While I think it's perfectly fair to be satisfied with Yaoyao's contribution to the team, my opinion is that Baizhu is a much bigger upgrade than what Eakes thinks, both in terms of healing and other QoL benefits he brings.

yeah baizhu has great role consolidation. healing, shielding, and dendro reaction buffing. 10/10 (still won't pull because there are units I don't have that I'll have more fun with)

Getting Baizhu is one of the best decisions I have made in this game. He is great in all Dendro teams. He has much better healing and Dendro application than Yaoyao and the interruption resistance from the shield makes playing so much nicer (no off screen projectile attacks will stop you now).

I'm really sad i started right in the middle of his rerun in 4.6, because once i learned about his character in the story i instantly loved him, and i still couldnt have gotten him in that amount of time. im really happy i got clorinde though, then navia, then got mona at 25 pity so i have a guaranteed now! i wanted mona anyways so I'm super happy. sure shes not the best anymore but i have soooooo much fun with her and navia ❤

@@karantej6702 He has better/more consistent healing which generates more fanfare for Furina, he has a shield which gives interruption resistance, he buffs your on field character doing Dendro reactions, he applies consistent Dendro to the enemies. That’s why you spend the wishes on him.

And for the characters that don’t fall into that category, just use a teammate that can infuse them for you. The only characters Xianyun doesn’t work with are bow users and Neuvilette (I think his plunge attack scales with attack).

I’m bias cause I have c6 but Yae is always one of those characters finding her way back in my teams, she’s just so convenient for afk dmg and long range targeting you can just place her turrets and do your own thing while the enemy gets deleted. Same with Furina I think sub dps will always stand the test of time since hoyo doesn’t make very many and they only add more dmg to the team by just existing, people underestimate yae and her sub dps abilities and often feels more useful than fishcl i think yae has many more use cases than her

It might just be that she's comparable in utility like Xingqiu and Yelan where sure, Yae has higher dmg potential but at the cost of field time, and the opposite is true for Fischl. So most f2p players (or just people in general) would prefer Fischl over Yae as it's more convenient. Only reason I'd put Yae above Fischl in some cases are in main dps niche circumstances.

I'm a launch player and got her during 1.1 on Zhongli banner, I just got C1 on Clorinde banner almost 4 years later. I have C6 qiqi/Mona and C5 Jean. But standards are no guarantee

Out of the 8 you don't own, the only ones I have are Wanderer and Xianyun. About Wanderer:He's not bad by any means, and is very nice for getting to those hard to reach places in the open world, where you'd need characters with special movement skills to get to, in that regard, he probably beats out even Venti and Kazuha, but for combat purposes, he's quite reliant on having a C6 Faruzan to function properly. So I wouldn't necessarily recommend him for combat purposes, but definietly for having an easier time in Teyvat to get those elusive oculuses that are a pain to get the normal way. About Xianyun: Amazing pick, definietly worth pulling for. I got her on C1 by accident, but man, her C1 is also amazing, so it was a very happy accident! As for the rest: Venti: amazing forgrouping random trashmobs, kind of useless against heavy opponents. Klee: I don't have her sadly, one of the only Mondstadt characters I miss, I can't really rate her. She's gosh darn adorable though! Tortilla: I started during his first banner, don't have him. He's strong, but I have enough powerful hydro units, I don't miss him. Geo Daddy: best support in the game, he's the go-to sugardaddy behind my Cocogoat to give her all the interruption resistance she might ever need. He's great! Albedo: I got him from the Chronicled Wish, he's okay, but not really what I'd call good. Ganyu: She's the best. Like, ever. But controllers don't do her justice. Play the game on a decent device called a PC, with a decent pair of input devices called "mouse and keyboard". Xiao: I don't have pogostickboy, he hits hard, but is rather lame playstylewise. If he has a C6 Faruzan with her, he's even more powerful than Wanderer though. I think. I'm not 100% certain about the numbers. Hu Tao: I tried pulling her. 100 pulls. Got me a Jean con instead. No Thoma from that banner either. I'm not even gonna try pulling fr her ever again. I'll just go for Arlecchino, or Yoimiya instead. Eula: great looks, she carried my 2nd abyss team for a long a$$ time, but physical damage didn't get ANY support in the game since Mika, and Mika isn't even part of my best Eula team... I love the character, but don't use her much. At all. Kazuha: he's like Venti on steroids. Only aspect in which he's weaker, is the amount of CC he can perform on lighter enemies, and the duration of their CC. Not having access to the Stringless to basically give him a 48% damage buff for an EM weapon that they both want might also count as an advantage towards Venti though. Great character nontheless, and I use him on my strongest melt Ganyu team for the swirl and the buff. Ayaka: She's the 2nd best Cryo DPS after Ganyu in my eyes. Pretty good, but kinda relies on freeze working as you said. Not the best against bosses, but really good against groupped up enemies, as her burst can hit in a pretty wide area. Yoimiya: I freakin want her! She's amazing! I really want pyro on-field DPS units, my only one is Diluc. And as I stated before, I don't even want Hu Tao anymore... Either her, or Arlecchino. Raiden Shotgun: She's amazing for 2-3 separate roles. On Field carry, off-field damage, energy recharge support in a shared on-field role with another on field dps who really wants their burst, she has so many options! Kokofish: she fell back since her release, but she's still one ofthe best healers in the game. Great hydro application too. She's Barbara on steroids. Just without the free resurrection. Aloy... let's forget Aloy... I have her at 80/90 like all my characters as baseline... I don't ever use her. Since her release, I only had her on my teams until I got her namecard. Never again. Itto: only good in mono geo, and it's pretty damn restrictive. Also, I don't have him, and I'm not planning on pulling for him ether. Shenhe: I kinda want her, but mostly not for her abilities, mostly for her looks and lore, as she's like a littl esister for Ganyu, and kind of like a daughter for Xianyun, who are 2 of my favourite characters to play. She's also pretty good for most cryo dps units in freeze, less so in melt. Yae Miko: she got really strong with dendro, but even before that she wasa great off-field electro DPS. Also, ara-ara memes. Ayato: I don't have him, his burst reminds me of Ganyu's, and that's about all I can bring up that I like in him. I'm not planning on pulling for him. If I wanted a hydro units, I have Yelan, Xingqiu, Neuvillette, Furina, so many better options. Yelan: as stated above, a great hydro unit. One of the best off-field hydro units. She's just a very comfortable unit to have, and is very great at what she does. Cyno: meh... I don't have him, but I found his playstyle clunky as all hell when I tried him out, so I won't even try pulling for him. Though, I heard he's kinda good with Baizhu and Nahida both on the team. Nilou: really good at what she does, but she needs a rather specific team for that. Including Nahida. Sadly I don't have her, but she's one of the few characters I regret not having. the Radish archon: she's f*cking broken, and she's SILENT when afk!!! She's one of the best characters in the game. Definietly the best dendro for sure. Wanderer: as stated at the top. Alhaitham: Really strong on-field dendro unit, but he kinda needs Yae or Fischl to pop off well. Also, I don't have him. And I don't miss him. I don't like dendro in genral. Other than Nahida. Dehya: Not really a limited banner 5 star anymore, but she looks amazing. Best character design for sure. Kitwise, she has some troubles, like accidentally jumpcanceling her burst premturely, but I've seen a hyperinvested Dehya demolish the abyss before. She can be really good. Baizhu: Probably the 2nd best off-field dendro applicator. Also, Yaoyao on steroids. Lyney: Pretty good, like a pyro Ganyu. Just doesn't look as good. I'd probably go for Yoimiya or Arlecchino over him. Neuvillette: one of my strongest units. He's a Blastoise. Nobody ever went wrong with picking Squirtle as their starter in pokemon. He's the final evolution in that chain. Wriothesley: ehh... Idon't have him, but based on the tryout, he's like a mix of Ayaka and Heizou. Fighting style looks amazing, but doesn't feel that good to play. His soundtrack is amazing though! Furina: probably the only off-field hydro unit better than Yelan. As she doesn't rely on the on-field unit spamming normal attacks to deal her damage. Also, a great buffer. Navia: Probably the best Geo character in the game. Hands down. Zhongli is the only real competitor she has. Xianyun: Amazing! As stated above. Chiori: Ehh? I don't have her, but she's like Albedo as far as I see. Just really wants another geo unit with a geo construct to fully pop off. Or you know, constellations... This means she doesn't work at full efficiency with Navia... Arlecchino: The strongest pyro dps in the game as of right now. I really regret not having her. And I'll definietly pull for her when she comes back. Clorinde: Amazing unit, I got a triple 5 star pull on her banner, she came hom as a C1 from the get go, with my Mona's C5 as a bonus. Really good unit, but really wants Nahida on the team to work properly. If you have issues with dodgeing, use her skills re-cast for the dodge... duh... Head Nurse: She's kinda like Kokofish in a way, he biggest advantage is being able to take revenge on the hydro abyss mages for the water bubbles. I don't have her though. 4 stars: There are about 8 worth leveling up fully as support units, but many worth using as budget versions of the limited 5 star units. The ones I'd recommend are: Xiangling Bennett Chevreuse Fischl Shinobu Xingqiu Diona (I know that many people don't like her, well, they just don't see how versatyle her character is. Shields, heals, EM buff, amazing Cryo battery. Name ANY other character in the game who can fulfill 4 separate roles in 1 unit. I'll wait. As you'll have to wait for an answer until another one releases.) Sucrose Not necessarily in this order, I just kept them groupped by element. Some who use dendro teams, and don'thave Baizhu might also consider Yaoyao for this list.

I like how Clorinde taught me who are the people with skill issue, especially the people who put her on A tier and below definitely has skill issue because it's fitting for a character who exudes competence and skill. She's definitely not for everyone but if you take the time to actually practice her and take advantage of her lunge attacks with proper timing and repositioning, you seriously don't need a shielder nor a healer, taking one is just an unnecessary DPS loss.

I'm a free to play player and I'm currently (potentially) saving for Kazuha. I know he's good. I know he's really good. But I have my main team that I use and I'm doing just fine on most things with them, and I JUST got two of them to level 90. The urge to add to my dendro collection and wait for him to come around again is strong I have almost every dendro character in the game I can't skip two of them for a character that's definitely going to rerun again sometime soon-ish. The dendro autism will not allow it without a good reason.

kazuha is my most used character because i find him incredibly useful and also fun to use, i got him when he released and have used him every day since in almost every team. That Said! if your favorite thing is dendro, you’ll get less utility out of him because he cant buff dendro or dendro reactions. he’s still good for grouping and if you’re using for example fischl for spread he’ll boost her damage. if i were you i’d go for the upcoming dendro characters and get kazuha on a rerun

Kazuha it's a good character but if you play dendro teams he's not always the best option (he is in aggravate and can function in other dendro teams but he's not the best, Furina or Nahida are probably better for dendro teams )

As a fellow F2P Dendro main I have to say, don't feel pressured to pull Kazuha despite what people say, he's not even good in most dendro teams. I've never felt like I needed him, only got him recently for my Kaeya and don't even use them in abyss. I personally don't think he's a must pull, SPECIALLY if you main dendro so don't feel pressured to get him.

Same. I even spent a bit and, together with what I saved, I managed to get C4R1 (will C6 her on re-run) - it was around my birthday, so I treated myself a bit. She's legit powerful at that level (especially with C2 Furina 😂) - not even saying it as just 'oh, any character is powerful with C2 Furina' - she blows my C0-C2 dedicated dps characters with Furina out of the water in terms of clearing quickly, especially in AoE.

Hu Tao was my very first 5* in the game way back on her very first banner, I had pretty poor banner luck so had a really scuffed team for her but helped non-the-less, she was my only main dps as everyone else I had were either sub-dps or support. I stopped playing the game for reasons sometime around 1.4 and didn't come back until 4.2, kept rolling with Hu Tao despite not having any Hydro other than Barbara (no Xingqui), I'm honestly still surprised how relevant she still was in the meta with the way her kit worked. Even with Arlecchino and other Pyro dps characters being released her damage output is still insane despite how old a unit she is. I'm only just at the point where I have a more fleshed out roster and most of the characters I wanted, had a lucky streak on my 50/50s. Pulled Ayaka (with Mona 50/50 loss) and managed a freeze team around 4.3 (later got Xingqui as a game changer), afterwards managed to get lucky and got Raiden, Nahida, Xianyun and Furina. Saved like hell and managed to end up recently with c2r1 Nilou and c0r1 Navia. Have no regrets although I wish there was more incentive to use Ayaka (maybe if there was a good melt oriented artifact set in the future). So far after some refining my go to teams have been Hu Tao/ Xingqui/ Furina/ Xianyun and working on a Nilou bloom with Kirara c6, Nahida and looking for another hydro to fill (atm only really c6 Candace, Barbara or Mona as other Hydro). Trying to build a team around Navia, likely just throw in Raiden/ Bennet and Xiangling idk.

Yoimiya has super fast normal attacks you say but then you mention how her icd only allows her 1 every 1.15 seconds making her bad a triggering a4 also c6 thingys don't do alot of damage, only in aggravate the main upside is 2 seconds fo uptime. 100k vapes is subjective and if we are talking subjective hutao plunge does 250k+ damage each plunge no CA. Overload can only do damage once each second not accounting for her AOE issue. Electro charge can also only do damage once each second, finally unless you are building full em overload and electro charge aren't gonna do alot of damage. Saying the team is not er dependent is dumb and ingorant. Furina buffs make the team do 50% more damage and bennet provides healing and massive atk buffs with fishl needing burst to have good uptime. They are the best supports in the game, furina fishl are both doing more damage than yoimiya based on investment and weapons.

Honestly i dont regret pulling any character, i might not play them anymore but when i pulled for them they were essential for me Im playing on phone so some cons might be related to that Xiao: - i needed second team for abyss (i beleave colley is locked behind 2 teams?) - good: strong aoe when plunging, when multiple oponents spreads elemental aura - bad: camera obscures landing, thumb starts to hurt after a while Ayaka: - pulled for her cos i did not have team for oceanid (frigin birds @@) and wiffed on ganyu, now i have fishl and kaching - good: freeze, does not activate shrooms when farming for mats (still use her for this when needed) - bad: ult animation long so enemies unfreeze and have chance to move away from it, unfreezable enemies Others i dont use much are kazuha (only for inazuma mist dailies), yelan (was using her on kaching team, now testing furina there) Still undecided on furina + snakeman combo, cant seem to find other 2 good teammates (i find yelan strictly better in kaching team for now). I mean i use them on ayaya team but i find she makes everything kinda squishy I absolutely use nuvi (c1 atm, might eventually try c6 him as f2p), raiden, nahida I got furina as part of collecting all archons (still missing wind and rock ones) but im kinda disapointed in her for now, on the other side im glad i skipped venti for nuvilette (allready had kazuha), my first character that does not take 100 years to complete abyss floors... Now i need second team that can keep with timers, floor 11 is a maby and 12 is absolitely no for me atm Ones i would like to pull are archons (obviously, saving for them unless banner has another must pull character), kokomi, nilou (dont seem im getting her this banner :(), yoimia (deff getting water boy and yelan in her team) What im not getting is fatui (h8 them to the core, no matter how good they are), hutao (you are not getting me to do any kind of cancel on the phone, might be possible but thumb hurts way more then with xiao) On maby pull is alheitem (skipped him over xiao cos mirror management, why have extra steps to perform @@) Others dont even enter my sight, neither good or bad, so probably skip their banners As bonus, got dehya, tignari, mona from loosing 50%, but becouse they had banners here are my thoughts on this: - dehya i use all the time on nuvi team and was essential on purifying forge in inazuma - i like tignari playstile (not opposed to instant homing charge attacks, has taunt on skill), i like him but atm still lvl 70 with lvl 1 talents, probably not building him for abyss cos kinda single target - honestly dont even know monas kit, i lvled her to 70+ (gota get them free f2p fates), never read what she actually does

Right off the bat gotta say, Crit Venti with Furina actually works nice if you have a mob-boss-mob sorta situation. i guess anyone can benefit from Furina but with him its a situation where you can finally go back to the old school build and ignore the EM stuff. People forget for a long time he was considered more of a SubDPS Grouper then simply a grouper, the whole EM Change around 1.5-1.6 shifted this, and thats when other buffs like Kazuha DMG, or Sucroses EM and potential to drive became way more valuable, but no more does that have to be the case

Mr. Eakes i mean this genuinely, try chongyun with navia if you're looking for goofy teambuilding with her! I play him on SoBP on noblesse with Navia, chongyun can n2> E >n2 burst and navia gets: 40% atk, 20% atk speed, AND a 15% CD reduction on her skill for more big slaps! He's also half of cryo resonance. Ive been playing this team a LOT with my c0 navia and having a blast. (this chongyun build is also quite fun with itto!!!)

I saw this for raiden , and i agree with most of the list, but idk what is the problem with people putting clorinde in low tiers . she's one of the best characters I've got . yeah, she gets interrupted sometimes, but it rarely happens if play around a bit you learn how to play with her correctly and with correct team comps she destroy everything even at c0 without signature weapon i think the issue is you have to learn the playstyle and sometimes you dont i got the exact problem when i play nuevi or dying when not get used to arlecchino and even learning when and how to execute skill with navia ! its just there for every character! I feel like a depends on meta and a powercrept tier should have been 7:20 Feel you there I don't use bows because of that and I don't like aiming with them. The only bow character I use is Fischl and I never shoot with her. 33:21 She's limiting? I just drop her burst to build shrapnel with another character and have Oz out while she's on field for shrapnel. I also really like using her with Xianyun I know it's not a perfect fit since geo and anemo don't react, but Oz gives me something to react with and it's really fun to pogo with her 😆 Xianyun is a blast I'd highly recommend. Her heal is basically the same as Jean just more spread out, the pogoing with any kind of infusion is fun. and exploring is so much fun with her!! Arlechinno was actually my first 50/50 win 😍 so I do not regret pulling her in the slightest 😋still don't quite know how to use her and I must say I really dislike being unable to heal her outside of her skill :/ I am currently working on a team for her so hopefully I'll like her kit more once I do. I will say she's fun to combo with Xianyun exploration-wise. Fly with crane, fly with crimson, fly with crane :3

I felt the same way about clorinde then I started using her with chevruse and either dehya or thoma. Now she actually feels really good, even if chevruse teams have less damage than aggrevate teams. They still do more than enough and i only lose a few seconds on clear times. And thats only if the aggrevate team goes perfectly with me never getting hit.

Baizhu is tempting due to his overall utility and being dendro, but from a character standpoint I just don't really find him appealing. I was really hoping Emilie would be an alternative support and not a niche sub-dps. I like Kirara though and so far c6 Kirara shields have been working so far alongside Nahida for Nilou bloom but trying to figure out who best to use in the fourth slot depending on how much healing I end up wanting. Maybe just grab Kokomi on a rerun or see if there is another dendro/hydro sustain, was considering Sigewinne before her scuffed kit came out.

I just wanted to point out that Baizhu feels amazing on Nilou teams. The 250% dendro resistance on the shield tends to stop all incoming bountiful core damage from hitting my team. Is he fun? No. He DOES feel like an upgrade though since he's a quickswap option as opposed to Yaoyao who demands on field time. Having 52k hp on Baizhu and 75k on Nilou makes abyss clears absolute snooze fests :D
