As a 18 year veteran I wanted to list out what I used to bring to festivals & underground parties alike. Each experience is different but I always felt I had everything I needed. A mid size backpack that holds all your necessities. What I put in mine: small package of kleenex (can't trust there will be teepee all night), small bottle hand sanitizer, water, gum (aspartame free, Walgreens sells a brand called PURE), phone, money & ID, & a glow stick (in case there aren't lights on certain pathways). What to wear: always comfortable dance shoes. Looks like skate shoes are still popular..? Osiris & Etnies are good brands. Think of something unique to wear that expresses who you are. Back in the day we used to make our own phat pants, skirts, wrist cuffs, etc

I've been going to raves since the 90s, and yep, ear plugs are a must. I work in a very noisy firearms manufacturing facility, and have access to plugs which lower sound to 25 decibels. The plugs are foam, and fit in the ear canal. They are also UV light reactive. I carry at least 10 pairs with me, and have sold them to unfortunate people who didn't have any. Your hearing can be damaged permanently so easily, and you have no clue it's happening until it's too late. You don't want to have to wear hearing aids by the time you're 30. Protect your hearing!!!! In the 90's I went to many not exactly legal raves and I think the only differences in your list I had was the hydration pack - we used plastic bottles the organisers would count in and out so they were recycled. The USB bank - they didn't exist, and ear plugs. Everything else I used although the bandana was so the police couldn't identify you when they broke it up.

@@darliavaldez728basically vicks vapor rub, but instead of the cream/gel its just a little tube of air, that you inhale through your nose and its super minty. They are made for when you have a cold or a stuffy nose, to help you breathe. People use them when rolling on molly bc it feels more intense

For any festival in the woods bug spray and a hat are essential. Especially because i know they usually spray the area for ticks and other bugs but you still want to be as careful as you can.

I always carry wet wipes or some tp and the small travel size sun screen it’s a lifesaver from sunburn if you remember to re apply

It's not really a "staple", MUST have item, because you can def. have fun, and fun dancing, without anything but your own badass moves, (LMAO!), but having some form of really cool "light show" stuff is very fun too!... I personally love the "Pixel Whip" from FiberFlies, because of the amazingly *awesome* array of totally endless COLOR that it presents, floating ALL around your entire body when you're dancing with one, (or even one in *each hand* if you're really good with them!), but the main "disadvantage" that they have is that in order to be FULLY utilized and *appreciated* (both by you AND everyone around you watching), is that you need a reasonable amount of *space* around you to allow the fibers to FLOW smoothly and properly, so they might not work as great as they could if you're at a rave or festival where you're literally packed in the crowd like "sardines in a can", as it was the last time I saw "Black Tiger Sex Machine", for example! (B.T.S.M. sets are more aggressive "mosh pit" style though anyway, not really appropriate for individual light shows... The lights and visuals on their stage are what everyone's paying attention to anyway!... and their sick-ass BASS too!)

I’m looking to buy a fan for Coachella last year was horrible it was 90 to 100 degrees when the sun was beaming. A word of advice might be common sense to some people if you’re in a hot environment have multiple bandannas and wet them once you go in and put on our your forehead and the one you wear as a mask. Feels super good when in the heat.

Felix Yuen because it just intensifies the lights and the music. Makes you wanna dance and just makes the experience better (at least to me). You don’t have to do drugs to have a good time though. And they’re definitely not legal at raves.
