I can only think of 2 channels that I've watched full live streams on (sometimes I'll stay for like 20 minutes on others) and 1 that I bought a months sub for because they were playing my fave game for the next week on sub only chat and it was like £3. (It's a very information dependent game so it's one that makes sense to limit chat for) The only other thing I can compare is thankmas, but I think that's a bit different that a normal livestream

A couple interesting things about Sharp Shadow because Skurry asked: Sharp Shadow normally does the same amount of damage as your nail, but if you have dashmaster equipped too it does 1.5x your nail damage. Also Skurry's comment about fighting Massive Moss Charger instead of Traitor Lord for that challenge might be impossible, or at least very annoying. Mossy gets pushed back by the damage of Sharp Shadow, causing your invulnerability to almost always end while inside Mossy's hitbox. You'd have to take damage every time you dealt damage.

I've actually faced this problem in my minimal nail slashes attempts. (The dreamers all require 10 nail slashes so getting Godhome ending is necessary.) By jumping over Mossy and with good positioning and timing it's possible to consistently get a sharp shadow double hit as Mossy goes underground. This technique will let you kill Mossy sharp shadow only without taking too much damage.

Un-essence grind begins with 981 essence (34:24 in the video) had a timer showing 2:30:03 which would be 9003 seconds, but they forgot to start the timer after a break and missed 46 seconds, so it should have been 2:30:49 or 9049 seconds in total. Anyway that's about 9.2 seconds per essence.

There is actually a really easy way to do the flower quest. Enemies only respawn when you seat on a bench and when you die. So by killing all the enemies on a route, you can just get the flower and go to through the route with no enemies in your way.

Hey so I have a meme speedrun idea, I call it the npc death%. So you just basically kill every npc in the game. To make it even better you can do it in steel soul to end it off by killing yourself. The one’s I feel like counts towards this is Divine, Nailsmith, Tuk, Cloth, Quirrel, Tiso, Zote, Brumm, Grey Mourner, The Seer, The Godseeker, Troupe Master Grimm, Distant Villagers, Grimmsteed, Moss Prophet, Myla and Marissa. Divine, Brumm, Troupe Master Grimm and Grimmsteed “dies” when you banish. Tuk is already dead in steel soul. Quirrel dies when you get the Witness achievement. For Zote it’s to get the Neglect achievement. Grey mourner also “dies” when you do flower quest. For the seer I count the ascension as a “death”. The godseeker “dies” if you give him the flower and complete P5. Distant Villagers die when Herrah is dead. Moss prophet dies when crossroads become infected. The rest you should probably know how they die. Btw for Cloth, make sure to dreamnail her when she’s dead. Good luck Btw great video

Tip for all flowers: finish the Flower Quest “safest route”, bench at Elderbug, get a flower from resting spot save-n-quit to Elderbug, do the same for all others. Then take a flower, and finish a pantheon (preferably Master) with it. If you don’t get all 10 flower breaks from that, don’t worry, you can always just get more from the resting place.

I did the math from what i know. Slurry started with 981 essence and completed the grind in 2:30:03. I converted the hours into minutes, then minutes to seconds. For a total of 9003 seconds. So 981 divided by 9003 equals .108 essence per second. Just for anyone curious!

Here is a pro strat for the flower quest: Sit on a bench near your destination, then dream gate to the queens garden where the flower appears (it does not reset your bench there) and save and quit. You will appear on the bench with the flower

You can also find 2 hollow knight references in dead cells, although it is was part of an update that aded references to a bunch of other games. The Nail is a weapon you can find in a lore room in the first area, but it doesnt always spawn, and you can get an outfit called the vessel's outfit.

The getting to Hornet the intended way is very subjective. Team Cherry added knockback to fireball, and KNEW that you could do skips with it. There is no telling on if the meant for you to be able to skip this part, but there is no game progression skip by doing this, making me think this "skip" is somewhat intended. Pogoing is another way Team Cherry knew what they where allowing. Ever wondered why you can just skip certain parts with well time pogos? THIS IS INTENDED. Sure, most new players are assumed to go the "intended route", but to a person who has done over 1 run of the game, most skips are intended to be an easy leap of logic if you pay attention. I found out fireball "skip" all by myself on my 2nd run through the game. I only realized that this could be done after in the colosseum, I used a fireball in the air, and was pushed onto a platform I couldn't of gotten onto without it. No complaints about the goal, but just wanted to point out that in Hollow Knight, "intended" is very loosely defined due to the many "skip" PUT IN by Team Cherry.

Taking flowers from the traitors grave doesn't affect your SQ location unlike taking one from Ze'Mer, so you could've cheesed it by putting a dreamgate at the grave, so you just dream gate there from the junkpit, collect flower and save quit back to the junkpit
