On Friday 31st March 2023, 32 ultra runners started one of the toughest (if not the toughest) endurance races in the world. The race is 200 miles inside the longest cycling tunnel in Britain, Combe Down Tunnel in Bath. The tunnel is slightly over a mile long (1,672m) and runners have to complete 200 lengths within the 55-hour cut-off time (which ended on Sunday 2nd April at around 10pm).
Runners are not allowed to use headphones or run side by side and they won't have time to sleep if they want to finish. 5 people finished this year's race including one lady.
