In the era of Roger, Rafa and Novak there was only one player who hung on to their coattails. And that player was Murray. Yeah Stan also won 3 GS, but he was very inconsistent. Murray was there no matter the tournament competing for the title and eventually world number one. Shame we never got a Murray Vs Nadal final in a Grand Slam.

It was horrific luck - the quote that stood out to me from his documentary was: 'I was the number one tennis player in the world and I couldn't walk'. A horrendous injury at 29 that ruined his later career when he should have been cleaning up grand slams with Novak post Federer and Nadal, he'd have had 4/5 more slams if he'd not had that injury

He IS an all time great. Def not the greatest, but it will be difficult to list 15+ names who r better than him in the open era, many of the other legends got a lot more fame bc their era was weak, if Murray played in the 90s or early 2000s he could of been world number 1 for couple of years
