The Toxicity in the hand dryer community

A short video I wanted to make regarding the communities toxicity

This is the first time I heard about this. I actually have been into hand dryers since 2021 but my old channel from 2021 until May 2022 got terminated because of private reasons

I've been in the toilet community for years & been through some of the similar things that have occurred, one solution is to perhaps moderate comments, and only approve the ones that are sensible etc, or even constructive criticism so the "I dont like this dryer so no one should" crew don't bombard the videos and damage others self esteem etc, the uk toilet community is literally split in 3 groups right now, and i'm only in 2 of 3 of them. There will be some people you don't get on with, others you do, and as for the negative people, don't let them destroy or end your hobby getting involved in drama from the american communities .... that is best left alone at all costs.

I’m not leaving the community at all, because I’ve always loved filming hand dryers, but this toxicity is absolutely pathetic.

Yeah same with me, the toxicity doesn’t really get to me in fact it makes me laugh how low intelligence some people have.

Same here, I joined the community as I want to film and learn about dryers, not to be involved in toxicity. As Splashy said, the toxicity doesnt really get to me, but I can agree that the toxicity is just honestly a joke.

Most of the toxic people film hand dryers themselves so that wouldn't make sense. As for the recommendation thing, I would presume its because a lot of lift enthusiasts have started filming dryers so youtube made a dumb assumption that these videos should be grouped together.

I could say im a part of all communities with yt videos, lifts, hand dryers & trains (but not so much as i used to film). I don't say im toxic as im not a toxic person. I don't know if you would agree. But i do agree if you feel like the community is getting even more toxic and you would like to cease uploading thats fine. Im not going to quit. Even tho i haven't been bothered to upload most of the time now. Hopefully the toxicity does die down a bit

I agree with this. I have observed the hand dryer community and I have noticed a lot of toxicity (especially in one of the discord servers). In fact, some people even spam pinged me and I repeatedly told them to stop. I've seen a lot of drama happening in one of the servers.

One interesting observation I made is that all of the toxicity comes from members who are simultaneously in the HDC and Lift community
