Great video! We love these falls, this video really highlights everything. I didn't actually know that there was an age limit for children. Great to know since we have a 5 month old now :D

Hello Greg! My husband and I are visiting Switzerland for the very first time in just a few weeks and I have been bingeing on your wonderful videos, they are so helpful, thank you! I have a question about taking the post bus from Lauterbrunnen to the Falls - we are staying in Grindelwald and will have the free bus card for there. How do we pay for the bus in Lauterbrunnen? Can we tap on with a debit/credit card, do we need to pay in cash or do we need to buy a ticket before boarding the bus? I've looked around online but can't find an answer!

Hello! That‘s a valid question! In Switzerland we dont have this tap in and out. You will have to buy a ticket. You can get a return ticket from Grindelwald to Trümmelbachfälle Postauto Stop at the train station in Grindelwald. There is a counter with personnel. You will have to change trains once in Zweilütschinen to go to Lauterbrunnen to then catch the post bus. If you are into trains you can also get the cogwheeltrain from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg and change there to another one to Lauterbrunnen, but that costs a bit more. Hope this helps and I wish you guys a fantastic trip!

@@SwitzerlandInsider Thank you, Greg! I like knowing how to do things before arriving in a new place, it saves time and makes me feel more confident. I couldn't find information on how to pay for the bus anywhere! Your videos are really informative and enjoyable. I actually am very into trains and work for a train company in the UK. I am fortunate that as a railway employee we have reciprocal travel in other European countries, for free or with a discount, on trains, some of the gondolas and the BLS boats and my husband shares in some of my benefits. Switzerland is so expensive that I don't know if we could have afforded the trip otherwise! We've saved enough on fares to be able to paraglide just so long as we don't eat much, lol! We are definitely taking the cogwheel train up to Kleine Scheidegg and then continuing to Jungfraujoch! Instead of going straight back to Grindelwald, my plan is to take a train to Wengen, ride the open-air cable car to Mannlichen and then hike the Panorama trail back to Kleine Scheidegg, then the train back to Grindelwald. I think that will be a lovely day! Hopefully we'll be taking a lot of trains whilst we're there, as well as the boat on Lake Brienz!

Your videos are wonderful. My husband and I are visiting in August this year for about 5 days. Where do you recommend staying around the Lauterbrunnen area? Also, do you have a video or suggestion on how to pick the right Swiss pass? Thanks! Tobin

Hi Tobin! If you want to stay in the Lauterbrunnen area, there are many possibilities for you! All of them a bit different. The Lauterbrunnen area is not so big and you can reach any point of it within an hour or so. I have another channel called Switzerland is Life, where I put up videos of Swiss villages and towns. Check out the following places: Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Mürren and Gimmelwald. If you predominantly stay in this area I would pick the Jungfrau travel pass, as you get to ride around the cogwheel trains of the area (got some videos of that as well). I would recommend the Swiss Travel Pass Flex, if you don‘t travel every day (its only partially valid in the Jungfrau area) or just regular tickets in most cases are the cheapest deal. If you travel the entire country, definitely look into the Swiss Travel Pass. Hope this helps! More videos are coming on this channel that will answer your questions as well! Greg

@@SwitzerlandInsider Thank you so much for responding. I was actually in Murren 23 years ago and I have dreamed about returning every since. I booked 2 nights at Hotel Edelweiss, the same hotel I stayed in (by luck) 23 years ago. The cost is not quite the same LOL but it will be worth the splurge. My journal said I paid $50! We want to be a bit more budget friendly on our other nights. Thank you for the recommendation on which pass would be best....very helpful. Thanks again, Tobin PS. I am going to be asking alot of questions in the next few months. :)
